    Abstract: A method and system for molding thermoplastic sandwich material to form a deep-drawn article utilizing a unique clamping technique and mechanism are described. The method includes the steps of positioning a blank of thermoplastic sandwich material having a cellular core over a female die having an article-defining cavity defined by inner surfaces of the female die. Then, an inner portion of the blank is forced into the female die along a substantially vertical axis and against the inner surfaces of the female die to obtain deep-drawn material. During the step of forcing at least one outer portion of the blank immediately adjacent the female die is clamped to guide the at least one outer portion of the blank to travel into the article-defining cavity at an acute angle with respect to the vertical axis. Thickness of at least one side wall of the deep-drawn material is substantially the same as thickness of the blank of thermoplastic sandwich material.

    Abstract: A technique for resynchronizing a memory system. More specifically, a technique for resynchronizing a plurality of memory segments in a redundant memory system after a hot-plug event. After a memory cartridge is hot-plugged into a system, the memory cartridge is synchronized with the operational memory cartridges such that the memory system can operate in lock step. A refresh counter in each memory cartridge is disabled to generate a first refresh request to the corresponding memory segments in the memory cartridge. After waiting a period of time to insure that regardless of what state each memory cartridge is in when the first refresh request is initiated all cycles have been completely executed, each refresh counter is re-enabled, thereby generating a second refresh request. The generation of the second refresh request to each of the memory segments provides synchronous operation of each of the memory cartridges.

The strategy attenuates injection control pressure ICP of hydraulic fluid for the fuel injectors to a defined dwell pressure ICP_VRE_DWL, and once that dwell pressure has been attained, keeps the injection control pressure from exceeding it for the length of a dwell time ICP_DWL_TM. Upon elapse of the dwell time, the injection control pressure gradually increases above the dwell pressure using a pressure versus time map (54). When engine operating conditions call for greater injection control pressure while the retarder is activated, the strategy provides for greater injection control pressure using a pressure versus speed map (42).

The ferrule has an inner flange through which the retainer may not pass. The retainer is threaded onto and past the threaded section of the shaft to hold the thumbscrew in the ferrule. Thread size may be changed by manually removing the retainer without tools and replacing the thumbscrew and retainer with a new thumbscrew and new retainer having the desired thread size.
