Patent number: 6301516Abstract: A method of generating quality matrices indicating a relationship between critical to quality characteristics and key control parameters for levels of a process. A plurality of rows of a first matrix are designated as critical to quality characteristics and a plurality of columns of the first matrix are designated as key control parameters. Each critical to quality characteristic is assigned a critical to quality weight. An interaction weight is assigned between at least one critical to quality characteristic and at least one key control parameter. A score is then generated for at least one key control parameter in response to said critical to quality weight and said interaction weight.Type: GrantFiled: March 25, 1999Date of Patent: October 9, 2001Assignee: General Electric CompanyInventors: Michael Charles Ostrowski, Mohamed Ahmed Ali, Philip Paul Beachamp, Bijan Dorri, Arlie Russell Martin, Brian Douglas Lounsberry, Michael Solomon Idelchick

Patent number: 6299651Abstract: A process for imparting long-lasting antimicrobial properties to fabrics is disclosed which entails the diffusion of triclosan esters within each individual fiber of a textile. One preferred method is performed in a standard jet dye bath which requires a high range of temperatures to effectively color fabrics. Dyeing in this manner also involves diffusing compounds within individual fibers; thus, this manner of incorporating dyestuffs and colorants within textile fabrics provides a compatible and effective vehicle for simultaneously introducing triclosan esters within such textile fibers, also. A dye bath application is not required, however, as any procedure which allows contact between a triclosan ester derivative and a fabric at a sufficient temperature and for a sufficient time to effectuate diffusion of the ester within each individual fiber of the fabric is also contemplated within this invention.Type: GrantFiled: September 14, 2000Date of Patent: October 9, 2001Assignee: Milliken & CompanyInventor: Shulong Li

Patent number: 6301691Abstract: In accordance with one aspect of the invention, a method identifies all NFETs that are impermissibly interposed in a pull up path. The method includes the steps of identifying an output node in a netlist file and identifying as pull-up paths all channel-paths extending between the output node and VDD. Then, the method evaluates every element along each of the identified pull-up paths to determine whether any element is an NFET, and generates an error message for any NFET identified along a pull-up path, if the NFET is neither channel connected to an interstitial pre-charge node nor a pass FET. In accordance with another aspect of the invention, a method identifies all PFETs that are impermissibly interposed between an output node and Ground. In accordance with this aspect, the method identifies an output node in a netlist file and identifies, as pull-down paths, all channel-paths extending between the output node and Ground.Type: GrantFiled: April 27, 1999Date of Patent: October 9, 2001Assignee: Hewlett-Packard CompanyInventor: John G McBride
