Abstract: Semiconductor devices and methods of formation are provided herein. A semiconductor device includes a first inductor, a patterned ground shielding (PGS) proximate the first inductor comprising one or more portions and a first switch configured to couple a first portion of the PGS to a second portion of the PGS. The semiconductor device also has a configuration including a first inductor on a first side of the PGS, a second inductor on a second side of the PGS and a first switch configured to couple a first portion of the PGS to a second portion of the PGS. Selective coupling of portions of the PGS by activating or deactivating switches alters the behavior of the first inductor, or the behavior and interaction between the first inductor and the second inductor. A mechanism is thus provided for selectively configuring a PGS to control inductive or other properties of a circuit.

Abstract: A device includes a phase detector circuit, a charge pump circuit, a sample and hold circuit, a comparator, and a controller. The phase detector circuit detects a clock skew between a reference signal and an input signal. The charge pump circuit translates the clock skew into a voltage. A sample and hold circuit samples the voltage, at a first time, and maintain the sampled voltage until a second time. The comparator (i) detects a loop gain associated with the input signal based on the sampled voltage and the voltage at the second time and (ii) outputs a loop gain signal for adjustment of the input signal. The controller is coupled to the phase detector, the comparator, and the sample and hold circuit. The controller generates a plurality of control signals for automatically controlling operation of the phase detector, the comparator, and the sample and hold circuit.

Abstract: An oral care implement having a head and a handle. A plurality of tooth cleaning elements extend from an exposed front surface of the head. The handle has an open thumb gripping passageway extending between an exposed first surface of the handle and an exposed second surface of the handle opposite the exposed first surface. The handle also has a plurality of slots defining open slot passageways from the exposed first surface of the handle to the exposed second surface of the handle. The open thumb gripping passageway may be defined by a ring component that is fitted into an aperture in a body component. The open thumb gripping passageway may be a void space in the handle. The open slot passageways may be elongated along the handle and may serve to reduce a total amount of virgin material needed to manufacture the oral care implement.

Abstract: An agricultural planter is operable in a travel direction and a travel velocity and configured to dispense seeds into a furrow formed within an agricultural surface. Abstract: A connecting structure for connecting an actuator to an opening flap for opening and closing an exterior trim component of a motor vehicle is disclosed, wherein the connecting structure has at least one carrier arrangement, which can be connected to the opening flap, and at least one connecting section arranged on the carrier arrangement, with which the opening flap can be connected to the actuator for moving the opening flap. The invention also relates to an exterior trim component with such a connecting structure and to a motor vehicle with such an exterior trim component.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes receiving, by a programmable logic controller coupled to a control unit associated with a vessel containing oil and water within a Gas-Oil-Separation Plant (GOSP), a first signal representing a first capacitance measurement detected by a first capacitance probe attached to the vessel at a first elevation. Determining whether an alarm condition is met by detecting whether the first capacitance measurement is higher than a first predetermined maximum limit, or a rate of change (ROC) of the first capacitance measurement is higher than a first predetermined ROC limit, or both. If the alarm condition is met, sending an alarm signal indicating that an upcoming process upset has been detected within the vessel. Subsequent alarms at higher elevations, if available, can alarm operators if the emulsion layer thickness continues to increase and further mitigation measures are required (such as higher demulsifier dosage, skimming of emulsion layer, etc.).

Abstract: Abrasive articles including a nonwoven fibrous substrate having a plurality of fibers, and a multiplicity of shaped abrasive particles, each shaped abrasive particle adhered to a corresponding fiber, each shaped abrasive particle having a length (L) and a width (W) determined in a direction substantially orthogonal to the length, the ratio of the length to the width defining an aspect ratio (L/W) of at least 1.1, each abrasive particle is oriented relative to its corresponding fiber, and more than 50% of the abrasive particles are oriented with respect to their corresponding fiber such that the abrasive particle length extends generally outwardly away from a surface of the corresponding fiber as determined visually using the Orientation Test. Abstract: Methods and related apparatus for improving the efficacy of antimicrobial agents within processing tanks. Processing tanks can include side streams for introducing antimicrobial agents into the processing tanks. The antimicrobial agents will be added and mixed in the side stream to form a processing solution. Additional actions can be conducted on the processing solution within the side stream including any and or all of heating, pumping, sampling, measuring, testing and pH adjustment of the processing solution. The processing solution is divided into at least two processing solution steams, which can be introduced at two different and distinct locations within the processing tank such as a carcass introduction end and a carcass removal end. By simultaneously introducing at least two processing solution streams at different locations of the processing tank, large concentration gradients of the antimicrobial agent are avoided.
