Abstract: Cure monitoring systems for and methods of monitoring polymerizable material to determine the degree of curing of the polymerizable material. A monitoring light source delivers visible monitoring light at one or more different visible wavelengths and a visible light detector detects the monitoring light diffusely reflected by the polymerizable material. The monitoring light has a wavelength of maximum emission (?max-mon) that does not effectively induce polymerization of the polymerizable material. Change in intensity of the monitoring light reflected from the polymerizable material is used to determine when a selected degree of curing is reached in the polymerizable material.

Abstract: A system and method for forming pixels in an image sensor is provided. In an embodiment, a semiconductor device includes an image sensor including a first pixel region and a second pixel region in a substrate, the first pixel region being adjacent to the second pixel region. A first anti-reflection coating is over the first pixel region, the first anti-reflection coating reducing reflection for a first wavelength range of incident light. A second anti-reflection coating is over the second pixel region, the second anti-reflection coating reducing reflection for a second wavelength range of incident light that is different from the first wavelength range.
Abstract: According to an embodiment, a method to communicate with a passenger in a car within a transportation system includes receiving an alarm signal from the car, receiving at least one operation parameter from the car, analyzing the at least one operation parameter corresponding to the alarm signal from the car, determining an alarm condition in response to the at least one operation parameter and the alarm signal, and initiating a video session via a video system in response to the alarm signal.
Abstract: An apparatus includes a center portion and a plurality of spoke portions that are in contact with the center portion and that extend to a perimeter region. The plurality of spoke portions include at least a first monolithic spoke portion extending from the center portion to the perimeter region, and the center portion and the plurality of spoke portions define a plurality of cavity regions among the plurality of spoke portions. The center portion, the plurality of spoke portions, and the plurality of cavity regions are included in a gradient index (GRIN) lens having a plurality of effective dielectric constants that are based on a radial distance from the center portion.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for determining the organic silicon content of petroleum fractions, such as refinery fractions. This can be achieved in part based on performing solvent-enhanced selective filtration on a hydrocarbonaceous sample to substantially remove inorganic silicon from the sample while retaining at least a substantial portion of the organic silicon in the sample. After the solvent-enhanced selective filtration, the organic silicon content of the filtered sample can be determined. The ability to determine the organic silicon content of a sample can be used to identify crude fractions and/or refinery fractions that may cause contamination problems within a refinery while reducing or minimizing the occurrence of false positive tests that could result from detection of inorganic silicon.

Abstract: Disclosed are a process for separating an electrode for membrane-electrode assemblies of fuel cells from the decal transfer film and an apparatus for separating the electrode. In particular, during the electrode separating process, only an electrode is separated from the decal transfer film on which the electrode is coated, without any damage, by a freezing method for freezing the specimen on the deionized water surface, and thus, wasting the expensive MEA is prevented. Thus, mechanical properties of the pristine electrode can be rapidly quantified in advance, and therefore, long term durability evaluation period during developing MEA having excellent durability is substantially reduced.
