Abstract: Systems and apparatuses for real time, bi-directional communications between an access control management host and one or more access control devices. The access control devices can be structured to make certain decisions at the access control device and communicate, in real time, information to, as well as receive in real time information from, the access control management host via a networked gateway. The access control device and networked gateway can communicate via a first wireless protocol that at least assists in minimizing the energy of an electrical energy source, such as, for example, a battery, that is coupled to the access control device. Examples of the first wireless protocol can include low latency, low-power wireless technologies or protocols. The networked gateway can communicate with the access control management host using a second protocol via a wired or wireless connection.
Abstract: Disclosed are a malicious program finding and killing device, method and server. The device comprises: one or more non-transitory computer readable medium configured to store computer-executable instructions; at least one processor to execute the computer-executable instructions to perform operations comprising: sending information to a server, and receiving information returned by the server; starting a scan task to scan an object to be scanned, calculating an index tag of a file scanned, send the index tag to the server, and receiving a script returned by the server, the script being found according to the index tag and corresponding to the file scanned; and executing the received script to find and kill the malicious program in the file scanned.

Abstract: Methods, computer-readable media, software, and apparatuses that may facilitate communications to rate driver performance and provide a driver rating to a driver in a competitive manner are provided. Driver computing devices may collect drive data (e.g., vehicle telematics data) to determine whether conditions are met (i.e., whether a driver speeds, brakes hard, or drives at night). Abstract: A method and apparatus for converting dc power from one voltage to another, in a mHEV includes an input filter, a converter circuit, and an output filter. the circuit is implemented with wide band gap devices, and may be a full bridge, half bridge, or push pull circuit. Abstract: An apparatus comprises a processing platform implementing a plurality of resources of converged infrastructure of an information processing system. A controller associated with the plurality of resources comprises a resource discovery module and a hierarchical mapper. The resource discovery module is configured to identify and categorize the resources of the converged infrastructure. The hierarchical mapper is configured to map at least first and second applications of the processing platform to respective sets of services utilized by those applications and to map each of the services to respective sets of resources utilized by those services so as to provide a hierarchical mapping of applications, services and resources for the converged infrastructure. One or more resulting hierarchical mappings generated by the hierarchical mapper are stored in a database and utilized by the controller to implement orchestration functionality for one or more additional applications of the processing platform.
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided to prevent or reduce stiction of a MEMS device. The MEMS device may include a protrusion extending from a surface of the MEMS device. During manufacture, the protrusion may be connected across an opening in the MEMS device to a sidewall of the substrate. Before manufacture of the MEMS device is completed, at least a portion of the protrusion connecting the MEMS device to the substrate may be removed. During operation, the protrusion may provide stiction prevention or reduction for the surface from which the first protrusion may extend. A plurality of protrusions may be formed along a plurality of surfaces for the MEMS device to prevent or reduce stiction along the corresponding surfaces. Protrusions may also be formed on devices surrounding or encapsulating the MEMS device to prevent or reduce stiction of the MEMS device to the surrounding or encapsulating devices.
Abstract: A plug assembly including a plug, a sidebar movably mounted on the plug, and a plurality rack pins seated in the plug. The sidebar is biased to an outer position in which the sidebar extends beyond an outer surface, of the plug. Each rack pin is a single-piece unitary structure including a key-following leg and a sidebar-engaging leg. The sidebar engaging leg includes at least one true, gate and a plurality of false gates. When a true gate of each rack pin is aligned with the sidebar, the sidebar is free to move radially inward to an inner position.

A clamping element (11) is mounted in the region of the pivot bearing (3) and in the region of the fitting (4) lying opposite the pivot bearing. In the region between the pivot bearing (3) and the fitting (4), the clamping element (11) is arranged at least in part in the transmission element (5).
Abstract: Maintaining continuous wireless charging of a device includes various elements. Events that may disrupt wireless charging are detected and the disruption circumvented by adjusting functions of an inductive coil. A frequency and power-shifting methodology is employed to achieve the continuous wireless charging. The invention may be implemented into various devices and environments, including vehicle consoles.

Abstract: A vehicle of outputting a sound using a difference between a human's audible frequency and a pet's audible frequency, and a method of controlling the vehicle are provided. The vehicle includes a sound processor that is configured to tune and mix a sound and a sound controller that is configured to determine a sound being output as one of a first sound having a frequency within a human's audible frequency range and a second sound having a frequency beyond the human's audible frequency range. When a command for reproducing another sound other than the determined sound is received, the sound processor is configured to mix the determined sound with the other sound corresponding to the command and a speaker is then configured to output the mixed sound.
Abstract: A method of machining a work-piece formed of titanium-based material, using a machining apparatus, is described. The method includes the steps of providing an electrically-conductive electrode contained within a spindle assembly, in a pre-selected distance and position relative to the titanium-based work-piece; while electrically powering the electrode and the work-piece with a power supply. In the process, fluid electrolyte is circulated through at least two pathways in the machining apparatus—an internal conduit within the spindle assembly; and an external conduit. The charged electrode is moved relative to the work-piece in a plunging motion, to remove material from the work-piece at a relatively high rate, using a high-speed electro-erosion (HSEE) process.
