Abstract: The present invention discloses a mark antenna used for receiving and transmitting a wireless signal. The mark antenna comprises a ground point, a feed point and a radiation part connecting to the ground point and the feed point, and particularly the radiation part is an identification mark, such that the appearance of the radiation part can provide identification information. With the light, thin, short and compact design concept, the mark antenna can be exposed to prevent the antenna from being compressed due to the small disposed area and overcome the difficulty of designing the antenna or a poor communication quality caused by the low performance of the antenna. In the present invention, the antenna is designed as a logo directly, such that the antenna can achieve the functions of identifying the appearance as well as transmitting and receiving the wireless signals.

  • Publication number: 20120034608
Abstract: MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are short non-coding RNAs that regulate gene expression and which play important roles in many cell types, including as described herein, the pancreatic ?-cell. Glucagon like peptide-1 (GLP-1), a hormone released from intestinal L-cells following meal intake, exerts pleiotropic effects on ?-cell function including raising intracellular cAMP levels and now represents an important therapy for type 2 diabetes. Expression of miR-132 and miR212 is upregulated by CREB protein in response increased cAMP levels in the cell; therefore, methods for detecting and evaluating ?-cell engagement by GLP-1 receptor agonists by monitoring miR-132 and miR-212 expression in a subject is described. The methods herein are particularly useful in the context of longitudinal clinical trials, such as those designed for testing the durability of any single or combination therapy in type 2 diabetes populations.

Abstract: A method for fabricating a semiconductor device is described. A polysilicon layer is formed on a substrate. The polysilicon layer is doped with an N-type dopant. A portion of the polysilicon layer is then removed to form a plurality of dummy patterns. Each dummy pattern has a top, a bottom, and a neck arranged between the top and the bottom, where the width of the neck is narrower than that of the top. A dielectric layer is formed on the substrate to cover the substrate disposed between adjacent dummy patterns, and the top of each dummy pattern is exposed. Thereafter, the dummy patterns are removed to form a plurality of trenches in the dielectric layer. A plurality of gate structures is formed in the trenches, respectively.

  • Patent number: 8112248
Abstract: A system and method to search spectral databases and to identify unknown materials from multiple spectroscopic data in the databases. The methodology may be substantially automated and is configurable to determine weights to be accorded to spectroscopic data from different spectroscopic data generating instruments for improved identification of unknown materials. Library spectra from known materials are divided into training and validation sets. Initial, instrument-specific weighting factors are determined using a weight grid or weight scale. The training and validation spectra are weighted with the weighting factors and indicator probabilities for various sets of “coarse” weighting factors are determined through an iterative process. The finally-selected set of coarse weighting factors is further “fine tuned” using a weight grid with finer values of weights.

  • Patent number: 8110734
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a display for a device for manipulating audio in a disc jockey or similar application. A touch sensitive user rotatable member detects the position where the DJ touches the surface. Effects like needle dropping are possible for the first time without the use of a phonographic table or without a computer device which uses a phonographic turntable as a control input device. The display can show music as color coded concentric circles which represent tracks and/or record grooves. Color coded markers show current position of the music on the control surface and allows the user to set and use visual cue points. Functionality of the rotatable member can be dynamically mapped for unprecedented control. For example, the inner portion of the rotatable member can be used for needle dropping while the outer portion can be used for scratch effects. The device is capable of manipulating audio and video streams or a combination of the two.

Abstract: An amplifier circuit with overshoot suppress scheme including an input amplifier, an output amplifier, and a diode is provided. A first and a second input ends of the output amplifier are coupled to a differential output pair of the input amplifier. A first end of the diode is coupled to an output end of the output amplifier. A second end of the diode is coupled to the first input end of the output amplifier. When the voltage difference between the output and the input ends of the output amplifier is greater then the barrier voltage of the diode, the diode is turned on, so that the output end of the output amplifier is coupled to the input end of the output amplifier. In the transient state, it rapidly smoothes the overshoot signal. In the steady state, the diode is cut off to maintain the normal operation of the operational amplifier.
