Patent number: 8513545Abstract: A device that adds and removes a load of a built-in weight to and from a load measuring mechanism of a weighing apparatus built-in weight latched in a weight holder that performs a lifting and lowering operation to a fixed portion. During calibration, gas is supplied from a gas supply and exhaust portion to a bag to increase volume of the air bag. At this point, the weight holder is lowered against the repulsive force of a coil spring, and the built-in weight is latched in the load receiver, thereby performing the calibration. After the calibration, an electromagnetic valve is opened to exhaust the gas from the bag. As a result, the weight holder is lifted by the repulsive force of the coil spring, and the weighing apparatus enters a usual weighing mode.Type: GrantFiled: July 24, 2007Date of Patent: August 20, 2013Assignee: A&D Company, Ltd.Inventors: Naoto Izumo, Akiyoshi Oota

Patent number: 8067705Abstract: A lower portion of a slide door of a windshield for a weighing apparatus is located in a guide groove of the main body of the windshield, along which guide groove the slide door opens and closes. A protrusion is protruded in a lower portion of the slide door and the protrusion engages an upper face of a frame in which the guide groove is formed. The protrusion supports weight of the slide door, and is slid on the upper face of the frame while the slide door does not come into contact with a bottom surface of the guide groove, thereby opening and closing the slide door.Type: GrantFiled: February 4, 2008Date of Patent: November 29, 2011Assignee: A&D Company, LtdInventors: Naoto Izumo, Hirosi Sigano, Satosi Suzaki

Patent number: 8017878Abstract: The present invention protects a mass sensor from an overload in any direction. A support structure is accommodated in a case, has a floating frame provided on one end side and a fixed portion provided on the other end side, receives a load of an object to be weighed placed on a scale pan with the aid of the floating frame part, and supports the mass sensor used in scales to detect the mass of the object to be weighed. The support structure has a spring member for supporting the mass sensor, and is interposed between the fixed portion and the case, which are structural members. The spring member is elastically deformed in advance to thereby press/urge on the fixed portion of the mass sensor and cause the portion to come into contact with the structural member side. The spring member deforms elastically so that the fixed portion separates from the contact location when a force greater than the pressing/urging force is applied.Type: GrantFiled: May 21, 2007Date of Patent: September 13, 2011Assignee: A&D Company, Ltd.Inventors: Naoto Izumo, Akiyoshi Oota

Patent number: 7762956Abstract: There is provided an electronic sphygmomanometer that permits a user to visually recognize easily that he or she started measurement by manipulating his or her identification key and that his or her measured value is being displayed on a display unit. The electronic sphygmomanometer 10 includes blood pressure measuring means 26 for measuring a blood pressure value, a display unit 28 for displaying the blood pressure value, a plurality of user identification keys 34 selectable by respective users, and a plurality of light emitting means 36 disposed corresponding to the respective user identification keys 34. When a user identification key A34a is manipulated, a measured blood pressure value is stored in the memory corresponding to the manipulated user identification key 34a, and the light emitting means A?36a corresponding to the manipulated user identification key A34a emits light while the blood pressure value of the user is being measured and/or being displayed.Type: GrantFiled: July 28, 2004Date of Patent: July 27, 2010Assignee: A & D Company, Ltd.Inventors: Shinobu Ozaki, Shigenobu Toda, Toshiharu Aiba

Patent number: 7610799Abstract: An engine measurement device includes a detector for measuring individual pieces of time series data containing at least a speed and output torque of an engine in a transient state while the engine is being run in combustion by control of an engine control unit, a torque operation unit for calculating the engine torque on the basis of the time series data of the engine speed and the output torque, and a model operation unit for modeling the engine torque as functions of the engine speed and a fuel injection time. This model is used to calculate both a fuel torque generated by the combustion run of the engine and a mechanical loss torque or the difference between the engine torque and the fuel torque.Type: GrantFiled: May 9, 2005Date of Patent: November 3, 2009Assignee: A&D Company, Ltd.Inventor: Mitsuharu Sugita
