Patent number: 7383854Abstract: A solenoid valve, particularly for hot water, has a diaphragm that is disposed with no folds that accumulate air or vapor bubbles. The diaphragm extends in a smooth curve between its outer edge and its inner edge so that the bubbles are directed to the level where the mouth of the inlet conduit enters the valve chamber. Preferably the center axis of the valve chamber and a solenoid system is tipped back to form an obtuse angle with the center axis of the inlet conduit. In addition, the inlet conduit has a portion of the upper inside wall that slopes upwardly in the direction away form the valve chamber and toward the inlet. In this portion, a discharge channel, such as a groove, extends in the direction from the valve chamber to the inlet. The discharge channel helps direct accumulated air and vapor bubbles from the valve chamber out toward the inlet.Type: GrantFiled: May 11, 2005Date of Patent: June 10, 2008Assignee: A.u.K Müller GmbH & Co. Patent number: 5180138Abstract: A servo valve controlled by a bistable solenoid valve and activated by the same fluid--liquid or gas--it controls the flow of. A disk is mounted on a differential piston that travels back and forth in the housing. A compression chamber at one end of the piston communicates with a fluid intake and, by way of a seat facing the disk, with a fluid outlet. The piston has an eccentric control bore extending through it. A control chamber at the other end of the piston communicates with the fluid outlet through a depressurization channel and with the compression chamber through the control bore. The solenoid valve has a chamber and seat and an armature that travels back and forth in a tube. The tube extends through a coil on the housing. A gasket is mounted on the end of the armature facing the solenoid valve's seat. The other end faces a head accommodated in the tube. A yoke surrounds both ends of the coil. The depressurization channel extends through the chamber and seat and can be closed off by the plug.Type: GrantFiled: February 4, 1992Date of Patent: January 19, 1993Assignee: Firma A.U.K. Muller GmbH & Co. Patent number: 4787411Abstract: A valve controlled by the same medium it handles and released by a preferably electromagnetically activated control valve. Contaminants in the medium that clog up the control bore in servocontrolled valves that employ a differential piston, a relief bore that can be closed off with a control valve, and a control bore that connect a pressure connection with a control space prevent the valve from closing. A mechanism that is especially simple in design is proposed to constantly keep the control bore clean during operation. The control space accommodates a wire spring that rest against the differential piston and against the valve housing and extends through the control bore. The motion of the piston is accompanied by a relative motion between the control bore and the spring that results in a constant cleaning action. The valve is especially practical in water lines and has the advantage of constant self-cleaning on the part of the control bore.Type: GrantFiled: December 10, 1987Date of Patent: November 29, 1988Assignee: Firma A. Patent number: 4273154Abstract: A device for regulating the vacuum in milking installations has a main valve and an auxiliary valve. A main valve chamber is connected with the atmosphere and, through a valve seat to the vacuum line. A control chamber is closed off from the main valve chamber by a first membrane and from the atmosphere by a second membrane. Both membranes are joined to a movable support bearing the main valve body, which presents active surfaces of different size to the main valve chamber and to the atmosphere. The position of the main valve is dependent upon the pressure in the control chamber, which pressure is determined by the auxiliary valve which is disposed in the support. The auxiliary valve has two auxiliary chambers separated by an auxiliary membrane to which the auxiliary valve body is fastened. The first auxiliary chamber is connected to the vacuum line and the second auxiliary chamber is connected to the atmosphere.Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 1980Date of Patent: June 16, 1981Assignee: A. und K.
