Patents Assigned to A.L. Patterson, Inc.
  • Patent number: 10024051
Abstract: An adjustable location anchor with a greatly increased strength having wide versatility regarding the types of straps or attachments which are usable therewith. The invention includes an extended housing having an interior cavity which includes a main slot and which can include a pair of anterior flanges or wings, wherein the extended housing can be placed into the uncured concrete such that it is rigidly embedded therein upon curing. A sliding insert can then be provided within the interior cavity being configured to slide along a slot formed thereby. The extended housing can also have one or more reinforcement attachment means for connecting to existing concrete reinforcement structures.

  • Patent number: 9637925
Abstract: A strand chair for supporting a prestressing cable in a cement cast. The strand chair contains a lower cup for receipt of a lower prestressing cable as well as an upper cup for supporting an upper prestressing cable. The strand chair utilized the pressures of the stressed cables to support and position a reveal which runs along the casting bed. Furthermore, the strand chair supports the placement of rebar utilized in the cement casting.

  • Patent number: 9638353
Abstract: A clip for securing a prestressed cable along a dovetail slot within a cement cast for masonry work. The clip contains a cup receiving the prestressed cable and legs for a fixed attachment to the outside of a dovetail bar. A method of installing the clip includes inserting the clip between the dovetail slot and the prestressed cable and rotating the clip such that the prestressed cable is received within the cup and the legs capture the dovetail slot.

  • Patent number: 9151065
Abstract: A lift anchor assembly for a precast Portland cement concrete shape comprises a recess insert, a bilaterally symmetrical lift anchor, and an elongate triangular space. The recess insert is characterized by a longitudinal plane of symmetry, and is separable along a break line extending perpendicular to the longitudinal plane of symmetry into a pair of quadrant-shaped bodies, each characterized with a planar obverse wall. The bilaterally symmetrical lift anchor is characterized by a longitudinal axis of symmetry coextensive with the longitudinal plane of symmetry, and is immovably sandwiched between the quadrant-shaped bodies. The elongate triangular space is formed beneath the break line and extends orthogonal to the longitudinal plane of symmetry. A force applied to the break line toward the elongate triangular space will urge the quadrant-shaped bodies into rotation out of the Portland cement concrete.

  • Patent number: 8898964
Abstract: A lift anchor assembly is characterized by a lift anchor defining a longitudinal axis, a bilaterally symmetrical lift plate, an opening through the lift plate bisected by the longitudinal axis, a bilaterally symmetrical embedment portion spaced away from and coupled with the lift plate, and a pair of elongate legs, each coupled with the embedment portion and with the lift plate parallel to the longitudinal axis. A recess insert is characterized by a pair of pivotably coupled concave insert shells defining a chamber and a longitudinal plane of symmetry. An elongate rod-like shear bar is characterized by a U-shaped bend. The recess insert is engageable with the lift anchor by coupling the insert shells on either side of the lift anchor through the opening. The shear bar is engageable with the lift anchor and recess insert by positioning the U-shaped bend over the lift plate and the opening.
