Abstract: A device for adjusting the position of a movable working member with respect to a stationary datum surface has a plurality of stop stems, each stem being different in length from the others. A sliding support carries the movable working member whose position is to be adjusted, and is mounted on a guide perpendicular to the datum surface. The sliding support is to be moved until it goes in abutment on a selected stem so as to take a position in which a predetermined distance is set between the movable working member and the datum surface.
Abstract: A gripping device for cases is mounted in an automatic packaging machine and includes a pair of stationary prongs and an associated pair of counterfacing prongs which cooperate to clamp a case between them. At least the movable prongs have notchings facing the stationary prongs which are adapted to grip a side wall panel of the case.
Abstract: A method allows to automatically adjust a drawer conveyor in accordance with the size of articles to be transported, the conveyor running along a closed loop path and including transporting drawers comprising a pair of walls which define the dimension of the drawers. The method includes releasing one of the walls in a first section of the conveyor path, moving the released wall in a second section of the conveyor path, until it is positioned at a pre-set distance from the other one, and locking again the previously released wall in a third section of the conveyor path. The conveyor includes an operating station designed to carry out subsequently on each drawer the operations described above.
Abstract: A mechanism includes an adjusting device designed for changing the position of means for closing the cartons. The displacement of the closing means is made along a vertical direction in accordance with the height of the cartons, and requires a single adjustment action. The closing means comprise a folding member that folds a tab of the flap of each carton, a plate that acts as a guide for inserting the tab into a corresponding opening of the carton, and a pusher member that pushes the tab into the opening.
