Abstract: A method of increasing hydrocarbon production, the method including fracturing downhole formation and disposing an expandable proppant into the downhole formation. The method further includes expanding the expandable proppant into contact with the downhole formation and holding open the downhole formation with the expandable proppant. A proppant having an expandable outer shell layer, wherein the expandable outer shell layer is configured to expand outwardly to a size at least 10 percent greater in an open position than in a closed position. A proppant delivery system having a tool body, an expandable injector disposed on the side of the tool body, and an expandable proppant disposed within the tool body.
Abstract: A downhole apparatus having an upper well stop disposed at the surface of a well and a lower well stop disposed in the well. The apparatus further includes a plunger disposed within the well, wherein the plunger has a first sleeve having an outer diameter and a ball valve disposed on the first sleeve, wherein the ball valve is configured to rotate between an open and a closed position.
Abstract: A chemical strainer includes a base member that includes a base member cavity, a plurality of base member dispensing apertures disposed on a top portion of the base member, and a mating neck. A method of chemical straining includes receiving production fluids in a plurality of base member dispensing apertures of a chemical strainer. One or more chemicals disposed within the chemical strainer are dispensed. Production fluids and the dispensed chemicals are mixed. The treated production fluids are produced.
