The spacer (10) further includes a second reinforcing arm (14), transverse to the first reinforcing arm (12). The second reinforcing arm (14) has a second arm base (22), a second arm wall (24), and a second arm support surface (26) provided on the second arm wall (24). The first arm support surface (20) includes a first arm recess (36), and a first arm inclined surface (46) which slopes towards the first arm recess (36). The second arm support surface (20) includes a second arm recess (56) and a second arm inclined surface (60) which slopes towards the second arm recess (56). In use the spacer is located on a top surface of a pod to support a reinforcing mesh.

Abstract: An implantable device has a slim carrier with first and second sides. The two sides each have a signal electrode and a body potential electrode. The body potential electrodes are internally connected. Electrodes on opposing sides are aligned. An insulating extension of insulating material extends beyond a perimeter of the carrier to increase device sensitivity. If the carrier is hollow, there may be an IC inside to provide active functions including power management, communication, device control, and signal storage. The IC may include an amplifier and an ADC to sense signals, that it may store in memory and/or communicate to an external interface unit (EIU). The IC may include a DAC and a power amplifier to electrically stimulate tissue with signals received from the EIU.

Abstract: The present invention relates generally to the field of digital content, and more particularly to an improved system and methods for producing, mixing, and recording content. In particular, the system may include a plurality of input channels to which one or more audio sources may be linked via a user interface. Each audio source may be assigned to a physical fader or a virtual fader for adjusting a level of an audio signal received from the audio source. Advantageously, the system may connect via a wired and/or wireless connection with a number of audio devices and may further facilitate assigning each audio source to an input channel such that content creators, such as podcasters, are able to produce, mix, and record audio contents more efficiently and effectively.

Abstract: An above-ground low-energy method of dewatering highly contaminated waste e.g. leachate contaminated with at least a first group of contaminants and PFAS is described. The method comprises the step of removing the PFAS before removing the first group of contaminants. The removal of PFAS is undertaken by actively aerating the contaminated waste comprising PFAS to produce a waste stream comprising a concentration of PFAS and a liquid stream having at least some of the first group of contaminants. The one or more liquid streams are separated from the waste streams so as to dewater the contaminated waste. Optionally, the liquid streams are treated to remove the first group of contaminants.

Abstract: A wearable health monitoring system includes one or more RF electromagnetic transmitters (30-300 GHz) configured to transmit RF signals towards the skin over the artery of a user, one or more RF electromagnetic receivers configured to receive a reflected RF signals from a target body region on a user. A system has an attachment mechanism and standoff mechanism position the one or more RF transmitters and receivers relative to the target body region on the user at a known stand-off distance. The reflected signals and the transmitted signal are use to create an Intermediate Frequency signal which is used to determine a composite waveform via Principal Component Analysis, or other Dimensionality Reduction technique.

In one embodiment, a dispensing device, including a first unit having a top wall and an inner cylindrical projection extending from a bottom face of the top wall and a second unit having an outer cylinder, is adapted to be received by a receptacle. The inner cylinder receives the inner cylindrical projection and the outer cylinder receives the receptacle. A breakable seal closes an opening of the inner cylinder to form a chamber portion for storing a substance. Protruding seals on the inner cylindrical projection bear on the inner cylinder. An application of force to the top wall lowers the inner cylindrical projection to disrupt the breakable seal and release the substance into the receptacle to mix with a liquid stored in the receptacle.
