Abstract: The invention relates to a pressure responsive respiratory valve apparatus for enabling positive pressure from a source of pressure to be applied to a user's airway, and allowing ingress of a breathable gas from an inlet port into a user's airway during inhalation and egress of expired tidal volume of air from the user's respiratory system to an exhalation port during exhalation. The invention minimizes rebreathing of expired gas and optimizes delivery of pressurized breathable gas by venting gas only during exhalation, as well as addressing important user considerations including minimizing noise, pressure swing, and size.

Abstract: Improved means and methods to sense rotation using magnetic field sensors, inductance sensing and capacitive sensing employ a user interface comprising a knob and an integrated circuit containing a magnetic field sensor and inductance measuring circuitry. A permanent magnet and a metal member are attached to the knob, allowing detection of rotation of the knob and when the knob is depressed. A first press is interpreted as an activation command, a subsequent rotation is detected, indicated and stored, a second press is interpreted as a deactivation command and a third press is interpreted as a command to reactivate and automatically select a specific rotational position.

Abstract: A method of characterising relative proportions of magnetic resonance (MR) chemical species where one or more of the chemical species has a multi-peak MR spectra includes defining an in-phase measurement time window and an out-phase measurement time window relative to a frequency difference between the two dominant spectral peaks of at least one said multi-peak chemical species. The in-phase window captures the signal that is progressing to being maximally in-phase for the two dominant peaks, and the out-phase window captures the signal that is progressing to being maximally out of phase for the two dominant peaks. The method includes identifying an increased upward deviation in the signal over the in-phase window relative to a reference signal decay over the out-phase window, where such upward deviation in the signal over the in-phase window provides an indicator of the increased presence of the one or more multi peak spectral species over the other species.
Abstract: The invention relates to a referencing apparatus for application onto a patient at least partially covered by surgical drapes. The referencing apparatus includes a plurality of locking elements shaped for engagement with the surgical drapes. The surgical drapes are disposed intermediate the plurality of locking elements and a respective plurality of predefined anatomical sites on the patient. The engagement causes a docking system disposed on the referencing apparatus to assume a reference orientation relative to the plurality of predefined anatomical sites.
Abstract: Disclosed herein, is a process for recovering valuable metals and/or their oxides from red mud bauxite residues or similar. The process comprises: calcining a red mud residue having a pH of less than about 10 to provide a calcinated red mud residue; acid leaching the calcinated red mud residue to provide a silica rich solid component and an acid leachate; separating the silica rich solid component and the acid leachate; precipitating an iron rich solid component from the acid leachate; and separating the precipitated iron rich solid component from the acid leachate to provide an aluminium rich liquor.

Abstract: A textile is provided that includes a plurality of warp yarns and a plurality of weft yarns woven together, the plurality of warp yarns each including an elastic warp filament and a non-elastic warp filament, and the plurality of weft yarns each including an elastic weft filament and a non-elastic weft filament. At least one of the elastic warp filament, the non-elastic warp filament, the elastic weft filament, and the non-elastic weft filament includes a hydrophobic material. The materials of the elastic warp filament, the non-elastic warp filament, the elastic weft filament, and the non-elastic weft filament are selected such that the textile has a high elastic stretchability in at least one of a weft direction and a warp direction. A garment including the textile, and methods for manufacturing the textile and the garment, are also disclosed.

Abstract: A mining machine is provided. The machine includes a frame and an engine mounted on the frame. The machine also includes a heat exchanger and an aftertreatment system mounted on the frame. The machine further includes a cooling system disposed between the heat exchanger and the aftertreatment system. The cooling system includes a shroud member and a plurality of fans mounted on the shroud member. Each of the plurality of fans is adapted to provide a flow of air across the heat exchanger and around at least a portion of the aftertreatment system. The shroud member is split into a plurality of sections and each of the plurality of sections includes at least one of the plurality of fans therein.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition for treating inflammation and/or promoting wound healing comprising macadamia oil, beeswax and shea butter as the major active components. The composition has efficacy in the treatment of a range of skin conditions.
Abstract: A data record structure adapted for transmission over a network; the data record generated on a network device participating in a Blockchain which has an device unique identifier; the data record structure containing at least a first record and a first unique identifier record; the first record containing data for transmission over the network to a device having a receiving device unique identifier; the first unique identifier record containing the device unique identifier. Also disclosed is a method of verification of identity of devices participating in a block chain; said Block chain comprising a plurality of ledgers held on a plurality of network devices; said network devices communicating contents of the ledgers between them over a network; said devices verifying the contents of the ledgers as part of the step of communicating the contents of the ledgers; said method comprising incorporating a unique identifier of a network device within the ledger maintained by the network device.
Abstract: A micro-optic device, including: a transparent substrate; first lens elements on a first side of the substrate that reveal first image elements on a second side of the substrate; and second lens elements on the second side of the substrate that reveal second image elements on the first side of the substrate.
Abstract: A new and distinct variety of blueberry plant, which is denominated varietally as ‘NS 14-3’ is described, and which produces a fruit having a medium to large fruit size, firm fruit, a low to medium fruit acidity, and a medium to high fruit sweetness, and displaying a small dry picking scar, and a high yield, when grown under the ecological conditions prevailing near Yanchep Springs, Yanchep, Western Australia.
Abstract: A system for centralized testing of web-based agent desktops has been devised. The invention uses a test control portal. The test control portal acts as the interface between the client interaction software systems testing system and analyst controlled test device, executes an extensive set of robust test directive commands with underlying routines to be used to specify test conditions without the use of programming ability on the part of the analyst, uses a robust set of report item and format choice designators to allow easy selection of a range of report content and styles.
Abstract: A method for automatically generating column layouts comprises obtaining, by a page layout computer, source code of an electronic document comprising content, in response to a request to activate a page layout of the electronic document and before receiving a first input indicating a modification to a layout of the electronic document, automatically inserting, by the page layout computer, a coded hierarchy into the source code of the electronic document specifying a single section and a single column including the content, receiving, by the page layout computer, the first input indicating the modification to the layout of the electronic document, based on the first input and by the page layout computer, modifying the source code, causing, by the page layout computer, generating an updated editing view of the electronic document that graphically represents the modification to the layout.

Abstract: Methods and systems for displaying videos in an html compliant email on a computerized device. The method may display a first video without a need to execute a video player on the computerized device. The method may comprise embedding a hot link in the html code of the email to call a first video file and sequently displaying video frames of the first video file when the email is opened or otherwise viewed. The method may also comprise providing a landing page with a second video file and opening the landing page when a user clicks on a link in the email or when the first video file stops playing. The video email allows video to be displayed in emails without flagging the emails as a virus or spam. The video emails get through most firewalls.
