Abstract: A building panel mounting system comprising a rail attachment strap, a rail, a rail attachment profile and a building panel. The rail attachment strap is connectable to a support structure, extends along a longitudinal axis and includes one or more rail support brackets. The rail is connected to the rail support bracket and extends in a direction which is generally perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The rail attachment profile has an engagement formation removably connected to the rail. The building panel is connected to the rail attachment profile.

Abstract: A corrosion resistant intruder screen has a frame including elongate frame members (3) with a mesh (4) clamped to frame members (3). The frame members (3) each have a first holding channel (50) formed therein and a clamping portion (6) spaced from the first holding channel (50). Clamping members (7) co-act with fastening means (8) to clamp the mesh (4) between the clamping members (7) and the clamping portions (6) with leveraged clamping action. The screen includes covers (54) which are configured to be clipped to the frame members (3) and which each have a second holding channel (60) formed therein. The screen further includes a sealing assembly comprising first sealing members (51) and second sealing members (61).

Abstract: A bill acceptor 24.2 for a gaming machine includes a receiving zone for receiving a tendered bill. A sensing device 48 is arranged at an input region of the receiving zone for sensing at least one characteristic of the bill A controller 52 is in communication with the sensing device 48 for receiving an output signal from the sensing device 48. An annunciator 58 is controlled by the controller 52 to be activated when a bill acceptance rate of the controller 52 drops below a predetermined threshold.

Abstract: A method of performing an action is disclosed. The method starts by sensing a print medium to obtain data encoded on a surface of the print medium. The data encodes at least a print media identifier. The print medium has a representation of a document printed thereon. The print media identifier is determined from the data and a digital copy of the document corresponding to the representation is retrieved. The digital copy is associated with the print media identifier and includes one or more hyperlinks. The digital copy of the document is displayed and a selection of one of the hyperlinks is received from a user. A predefined action designated by the selected hyperlink is then performed.

Abstract: A process for hydro-extracting non-ferrous metals from a slurry, pulp or solution, the process including a resin which is a copolymer of a polystyrene and a non-styrenic polymer, wherein the non-styrenic polymer includes the following subunit: Formula (I) wherein Rb is a divalent linking group, preferably alkylene, and most preferably (—CH2—CH2—; and Rd is NH, NR, O or absent. Preferably the resin has an acrylic backbone.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus are described for determining parameters of a contact between bodies occurring within an activity. A digital camera directed towards a target area during the activity captures image frames including infra red image data. Structure for comparing image data for multiple temporally spaced frames with image data of a reference datum records any localized infra red emission appearing in at least one incident frame. The image data for at least one of the incident frames is analyzed to determine at least one parameter of the contact, and the image data for the incident frame is recorded. Visual display means displays the incident frames including the image data in the IR spectrum to enable visual inspection of the activity in the target area at the time of the incident frame and that gave rise to the contact producing the infra red emission.

Abstract: A rock anchor includes an elongate tubular body which extends between a first end and an opposing second end and a cartridge contains a multi-component adhesive system in the tubular body. The cartridge has a rigid tubular housing within which at least one compartment is defined, and in which is contained an adhesive component of the system. The at least one compartment yields to volumetrically reduce under fluid pressure created by a fluid input into the housing, to thereby extrude the adhesive components.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method of obtaining a user selection in a software system, from a user with a musical instrument. One or more musical sounds are associated with each of a plurality of selectable objects (e.g. icons, menu items), which are provided to a user on a display. Musical audio is then received from the user, by playing on the musical instrument (e.g. guitar). The audio input may be received via a microphone or other audio input device. Then, the audio signal is analysed to determine whether the user played the one or more musical sounds associated with a selectable object. If so, that object is selected.

Abstract: The present invention provides apparatus for the production of a uranium yellowcake from a uranium peroxide precipitate, the peroxide precipitate being in the form of a low solids content, uranium rich feed slurry, the apparatus including: a. a thickener for thickening the feed slurry to produce a thickener underflow with a solids content in the range of 15 to 50% w/w and a thickener overflow; b. a means for dewatering the thickener underflow to produce a solids cake with a solids content of at least 50% w/w and a dewater overflow; and c. an indirectly heated kiln for heating the solids cake at a temperature suitable to produce either a calcined uranium trioxide yellowcake or a dried uranium peroxide yellowcake.

Using the category designations (34) to reveal non-contributory activities, drivers of the causes of inefficiencies are identified. A second set of activities (46) incorporates outcomes of proposed improvements. Linking (38, 40, 42, 44) between existing (36) and improved (46) activity sets ensures necessary activities are incorporated to achieve the desired outcome. Linkages between the activities within the activity set and the business function that performs them also enables accountability and measures to be assigned.

Abstract: A method and system for identifying one or more features represented in a plurality of sensor acquired data sets is described. The method and apparatus is particularly useful in automatic license plate recognition applications, where the sensor acquired data sets are data obtained from one or more digital cameras. This is achieved by determining a first probability of the identity of the one or more features (e.g., alphanumeric characters) from a first one of the data sets; determining a second probability of the identity of the one or more features from a second one of the data sets; and, using data fusion techniques, fusing the determined first and second probabilities to provide a fused probability. This fused probability is used to identify the one or more features from data sets.

Abstract: A method of establishing secure communications between a first computer, e.g. a client computer, and a second computer, e.g. a web server, whereby the client computer receives one or more security policies relating to the web server. A client application examines the client computer and preferably configures one or more aspects of the client computer in order to make it comply with the security policies. Once the web server receives the results of this examination and/or configuration process, it can determine whether the secure communications are to be established and whether any restrictions need to be placed on this communication and/or the activity conducted via the communication.

Abstract: This invention relates to a process for the removal of catalyst particles from a hydrocarbon stream (14) derived from the reaction of synthesis gas (12) with a particulate Fischer Tropsch catalyst in a Fischer Tropsch reactor (10). The process includes a primary separation step (16) which makes use of a filter, wherein the filter has a pore size which is 70% to 95 of the average size of the particles of the Fischer Tropsch catalyst, thereby forming a primary filtered hydrocarbon stream (18) containing fine catalyst particles. The benefit of this selection of filter pore size is that it mitigates fines build-up on the filter of the primary separator. The primary filtered hydrocarbon stream (18) is then passed to a secondary separation step in a cross-flow filtration unit (20) which removes fine catalyst particles from the primary filtered hydrocarbon stream to provide a retenate (24) containing the catalyst fines, and permeate (22) containing a hydrocarbon product.
