Abstract: The invention relates to a method for preparing a synthetic talc composition. According to said method, a kerolite composition is subjected to an anhydrous thermal treatment carried out at a pressure lower than 5 bar, from over a few hours up to over a few days, at a treatment temperature higher than 300° C. The invention also relates to a synthetic talc composition prepared in this way, the synthetic talc particles of the composition being exclusively of chemical formula —(Si4)Mg3O10(OH)2— and identifiable, during X-ray diffraction, by the presence of a characteristic diffraction peak located at a distance of between 9.40-9.68 and corresponding to a plane (001). Said synthetic talc particles also have a thermally stable crystalline structure of stacked laminae, which is very similar to that of a natural talc and has a particle size smaller than approximately ten micrometers.

Abstract: The method and the apparatus object of present invention refers to a system and A method that create, save and format text documents using a device with gaze control and a system of quick positioning of the cursor. The present invention provides a faster interaction and requires a minimum effort with respect to the state of the art interfaces.
Abstract: Distance measuring device comprising an emitter and a receiver, said emitter being arranged to produce a magnetic field by means of a resonant circuit having a resonant frequency, said receiver being arranged to pick up at said resonant frequency the magnetic field emitted by the emitter and convert the strength of the magnetic field picked up into a first signal having an energy value, said emitter being arranged to produce said magnetic field intermittently, each emission having a predetermined energy, said receiver being connected to a detector arranged to determine, by correlation of said first signal with a second predetermined signal having a waveform representative of a signal to be picked up by the receiver, a distance measurement signal representing the distance between the emitter and the receiver. The device finds its application in detectors for sleep disorders or other forms of illness.
Abstract: A heat-sealable, peelable, coextruded composite polymeric film comprising a substrate layer of polymeric material having on a surface thereof a heat-sealable layer, wherein said heat-sealable layer comprises a copolyester of least one aromatic dicarboxylic acid, at least one aliphatic dicarboxylic acid and one or more glycol(s); the thickness of said heat-sealable layer is in the range of from about 0.3 to about 3 ?m; and the heat-sealable layer comprises one or more wax(es) is described.
