  • Patent number: 8676510
Abstract: A pattern matching unit performs pattern matching on present data obtained this time in clinical examination of a part of a subject and previous data obtained last time in the clinical examination of the part with reference patterns. Reference patterns that are most closely approximate to the present data and the previous data are selected. A distance calculator calculates a distance between selected reference patterns. A determining unit determines whether a re-examination is necessary based on the distance.

  • Patent number: 8071053
Abstract: A dispensing apparatus includes a dispensing arm, a driving motor, and a transmitting/buffering unit. The dispensing arm is rotatable and conveys a fluid drawn at a predetermined drawing position to a predetermined discharge position. The driving motor rotates the dispensing arm. The transmitting/buffering unit includes a crank shaft that rotates through a driving force of the driving motor and a crank rod that is coupled with the crank shaft and rotates with a rotation of the crank shaft thereby rotating the dispensing arm.

  • Patent number: 7697764
Abstract: Respective components of a leukocyte particle size pattern that includes a plurality of cellular component fractions are separated by performing a mixture density approximation using an EM algorithm, and characteristic parameters of each fraction are clustered. A similarity search with attention paid to a distribution pattern of a cell group of interest is thereby executed. An algorithm capable of doing a highly accurate similarity search from general viewpoints such as a search for the respective cellular components of a leukocyte or a combination of the respective components is developed. In addition, information useful for a diagnosis is provided.

  • Patent number: 6432657
Abstract: A method for determining coagulation parameters which is safe, convenient, applicable to existing automated analyzers and reliable is disclosed. The said method for the determination utilizes an antibody against the E region of fibrinogen, fibrinogen degradation product D dimer or the like, and is enable to determine the coagulation parameter in fibrin coagulation system accompanied by limited degradation of fibrinogen with thrombin without clotting.
