Abstract: Described is a quick-change arbor for a tool, in particular a hole saw (2), the arbor comprising a longitudinal body (3) having a drive end and a tool end, means (6) for attaching the tool which are provided with a central hole allowing a sliding of the attachment means (6) over the longitudinal body (3), and means for rotationally and axially locking the attachment means (6) to the longitudinal body (3). The attachment means (6) are slidably releasable from the longitudinal body (3), and can after applying a latch (9-1) in the attachment means (6) simply be slid over the body in order to push a plug of the sawn material out of the hole saw (2).

Abstract: The invention concerns tool change arbor (12) system for a tool such as a hole-saw (13), as well as a hole-saw (13) and an adapter to allow for an existing hole-saw suitable to be used with the quick-change arbor (12) according to the invention. The quick-change arbor (12) consists of a longitudinal body (6) provided over almost its whole length with a groove, in which a spring-loaded latch (7) is mounted, which at one end is provided with a notch (8). The cup base (1b) of the hole-saw (13) is provided with a flange (2), of which the inner diameter corresponds with the diameter of the quick-change arbor (12). Furthermore, the flange is provided with a groove (3), which cooperates with the latch (7) in the quick-change arbor (12) and fixes the hole-saw (13) with respect to the quick-change arbor (12). The notch (8) in the latch ensures an axial fixation in concert with the rim (4) of the cup base at the position of the groove (3) in the flange (2).
