  • Patent number: 5993304
Abstract: A hand tool includes an apparatus housing (2), a drive shaft part (10) which is rotatable in the housing, and toolholder part (18) which is mounted pivotably in the housing, is operatively connected to the drive shaft part and has a securing portion (24) projecting from the housing for the purpose of receiving a file, for example. A shaft journal (30) is secured in the drive shaft part (10) and is eccentrically positioned (R) in relation to the center line (A) of the drive shaft part. The shaft journal (30) supports, on its section (48) outside the drive shaft part, a movement-transmitting member (50') with an outer limit surface (52'). This member is arranged in drive engagement with a recess (54) in the end portion of the toolholder part (18) located inside the apparatus housing (2). In the recess (54) the movement-transmitting member (50') can move transverse to the toolholder part (18), with the outside (52') rolling against adjoining contact surfaces (56, 58) which delimit the recess.

  • Patent number: 4695252
Abstract: A face-bow device for registration of a patient's face and for transferring the registration to an articulator, for use in making dentures or parts thereof, comprises a bite fork on a bite fork support, an adjustment structure in which bite fork support is insertable, and a bow extending from ear to ear in front of the patient's face, on which bow the ajustment structure is mountable. The bow has two arms fixedly connected to each other. Each arm has its free end formed and adapted to be placed in the patient's ear meatus. The arms have a rounded form and are made of a resilient material in order to make them resiliently outbendable at least to such an extent that the bow having its free ends at a distance from each other suitable to the distance between the openings to the patient's ear meatuses in outbent condition is movable over the sides of the patient's face in order to place the ear bow ends into the patient's ear meatuses.

  • Patent number: 4571184
Abstract: A dental implement for abrasion, comprising a steel spatula coated on its opposite broad surfaces with an abrasive coating of tungsten applied to the steel surfaces with the aid of an electric arc. The implement is particularly useful for dentistry, because the tungsten has very little effect on the relatively hard tooth enamel but is quite abrasive on such dental materials as gold, amalgam, and dentine. Thus the implement is especially suited to smoothing tooth fillings of various types where the tooth enamel is to be left intact but the foreign material is to be evened out to make as smooth a transition as possible to the surrounding tooth enamel.

  • Patent number: 4505674
Abstract: An articulator, for use in making dentures or parts thereof, comprises a lower and an upper principal member, which are interconnected by a condylar mechanism that allows relative movements between the principal members, a turnable incisal table attached to the lower principal member and an incisal pin lockably and vertically adjustably mounted in the upper principal member above the incisal table and having a tip pointing towards the table. The articulator has a separate freedom-in-centric guide table having an upper surface located outside the rotational center of the incisal table and an extra pin lockably and vertically adjustably mounted in the upper principal member above the freedom-in-centric guide table. The extra pin is mounted at the side of the incisal pin in a separate locking device and has a tip pointing towards the guide table.

  • Patent number: 4453918
Abstract: An articulator for use in making dentures or parts thereof comprises two principal members that are movably interconnected by means of a condylar mechanism. Each of two condylar track members of said condylar mechanism is pivotable around two different axes for allowing different attitudes of the condylar track to be set, and there is a lock for locking each of said condylar track members in a desired attitude. This lock comprises for each condylar track member a locking mechanism enabling simultaneous locking against movement around the two axes, as well as enabling simultaneous unlocking for allowing movement around either or both of these axes.

  • Patent number: 4439150
Abstract: An articulator for use in making dentures or parts thereof comprises two principal members that are movably interconnected by means of a condylar mechanism. One of the principal members carries the condylar tracks of said mechanism while the other of said principal members carries the condylar shaft means of said mechanism. The condylar shaft means comprises adjustment means enabling simultaneous axial movement in opposite directions of two shaft members included in the condylar shaft means and each cooperating with a condylar ball. In this way the amount of axial play between the condylar shaft means and the condylar balls can easily be controlled.

  • Patent number: 4290754
Abstract: An articulator for use in making dentures or parts thereof wherein two principal members, pivotable relative to each other by means of conventional condylar mechanisms, have anchoring means for teeth models required for making the dentures. In order for one principal member to carry the other, it has a single, slender arm or post which at its end towards the other member carries the condylar shafts of the condylar mechanisms, with the condylar balls displaceable on said shafts, while the other principal member carries the condylar tracks.

  • Patent number: 4233850
Abstract: A hand tool comprising two moving parts; a rotating and a reciprocating part. The reciprocating part, carrying a machining tool, is imparted its movement from the rotating part via a crank mechanism with variable excentricity for adjusting the reciprocating part's length of stroke. A crank pin in said mechanism is therefore excentrically disposed on a rotatable, lockable slide excentrically journalled in a rotatable holder which is imparted its rotary movement from the drive means of the hand tool. Counterweights in the slide and its holder together counterbalance the movements of the reciprocating part corresponding to the varying lengths of stroke. Upon setting of the crank mechanism to the desired length of stroke, the counterweights are arranged to either work in conjunction or in opposition and are therefore rotatable relative each other to an extent corresponding to the relative movements of the slide and slide holder.
