    Abstract: For simpler manufacture of a rotation angle sensor and to utilize as much of its angle expansion as possible, the partial stator elements are in the shape of a partial ring split into a large partial stator element (22.1) and a small partial stator element (22.2) with tangentially arranged spacing openings (4, 5) located between them. The large partial stator element (22.1) covers a range of greater than 180° and the small partial stator element a range of less than 180° of a circular arc. The large and small stator elements (22.1, 22.2) are at least partially molded into one of the parts made of a magnetically non-conducting material. A magnet element consists of two magnetically bipolar partial magnet segment elements that are essentially of the same length and cover 90° or more of a circular arc.

An expansion unit (30) is positioned on the lead lines of the stamped lead assembly (25) and at least partially positioned in the shaped holding bracket (24). The expansion unit (30) consists of lead lines exposed through a window of the shaped holding bracket (24). The window is limited by at least one shaped holder strip. At least one expansion notch is incorporated into the lead lines.

    Abstract: In order to improve the measurement possibilities with regard to a rotating shaft, including the whole angle area (0 to 360°), a rotation angle sensor is mounted that is provided with a radial-bipolar ring-shaped magnetic element (3), three air gaps (5, 6, 7, 8) displaced by an equal angle (&phgr;) being connected with said shaft, and with a stator element (4) of a magnetoconductive material, while a Hall integrated circuit element (1, 2) is inserted in at least two adjacent air gaps (5, 6, 7, 8). The two Hall integrated circuit elements (1, 2) can be connected to an evaluation unit (9) which records a voltage curve of the measured circuit for each circuit element (1, 2), assigns each flow voltage measure to a position angle on the Hall integrated circuit voltage curves, calculates from the position angles assigned to the flow voltage values the actual position angle and gives it as the start signal (A1, A2).
