  • Patent number: 6269556
Abstract: The invention relates to a holder for connecting a blade (7) to the lower edge (6) of a snow-clearing device, such that the blade is given an acute, cutting angle to the base and can be folded backwards, thereby avoiding damage when running into an obstacle, and automatically resume its cutting angle after passing the obstacle. The holder comprises a trilateral hollow beam (1), the three sides of the beam forming respectively: a first fixing element (3) which is adapted to be fixed to the lower edge (6) of the snow-clearing device; a second fixing element (4) which is adapted to engage the back of the blade (7), and a support element (5) connecting the other two elements (3, 4). At least the second fixing element (4) and the support element (5) are made of an elastic polymer material.

  • Patent number: 5054401
Abstract: For cleaning the top surfaces of railway rails, a vehicle (1) carried on rails, and has scrapers, looseners, and rotatable brushes. In case of wet rail, the scrapers are used to make the top surfaces of the rails dry. The looseners are used to loosen up encrustments located on the top surfaces of the rails after which the encrustments are removed by the aid of the brushes means from the top surfaces of the rails (4). The scrapers and the looseners are carried by slewing brackets connected with the chassis of the vehicle and the brushes are carried by telescopic supports connected to the chassis of the vehicle. The scrapers, looseners and brushes are operable between an inactive position of repose and an active working position. The vehicle it can be used for cleaning of rails in both directions of travel.

  • Patent number: 4613147
Abstract: A rear underride protection (1) intended for vehicles (2) comprising a bar (10) transversal to the direction of motion of the vehicle (2) and fixed to the vehicle (2), and a movable bar (13) displaceably arranged in the longitudinal direction of the fixed bar (10). At one end the movable bar (13) has a means of attachment (14) to enable fitting of an implement, e.g. in the form of a side-plough (3). The projection of the movable bar (13) can be adjusted at one's option and the sliding motion be effected by means of a double-acting hydraulic cylinder to which oil is supplied from the forced oil system of the vehicle (2). The hydraulic cylinder actuates the movable bar (13) by a buffer means, the purpose of which is to spare the rear underride protection (1) and implements connected to this great mechanical stresses.
