  • Patent number: 11298034
Abstract: A tonometer for continuously monitoring arterial blood pressure of a patient, including a bracelet, a detection group mounted on the bracelet and arranged to detect a pressure signal. The detection group has a plurality of pressure sensors arranged to detect a pressure signal associated with the blood pressure wave of the patient. A pressure sensor is positioned in proximity of the radial artery of the patient, at the opposite side of the radial bone. A touching group is interposed between the detection group and the radial artery, and equipped with a plurality of protuberant members, each of which is associated with a pressure sensor, and arranged to be positioned into contact with the skin of the patient, in such a way to exert a predetermined force on the radial artery.

  • Patent number: 10750971
Abstract: The invention relates to a portable device for video electroencephalography. The device has a central portion to which a plurality of arcuate arms are directly or indirectly connected in a movable manner. The arms together define a helmet structure adapted to be worn on the head of a patient, arm is configured to allow mounting of one or more electrodes which are connected to an electronic central unit mounted on the helmet structure. The device also has a supporting member and a video camera mounted on the supporting member so as to face the helmet structure, said video camera. The arms have a first arm and a second arm which extend away from each other in a longitudinal direction (L), as well as a third arm and a fourth arm which extend away from each other in a front direction (F). The first and second arms are pivoted on the central portion about respective axes parallel to the front direction (F), and the third and fourth arms are pivoted about respective axes parallel to the longitudinal direction (L).

  • Patent number: 9031657
Abstract: An implantable device for the acquisition and monitoring of brain bioelectric signals is described. The implantable device has a plurality of active electrodes configured to detect brain bioelectric signals, the active electrodes being arranged on a grid connected to an electronic module of the implantable device according to a predefined pattern. The active electrodes are connected to a microprocessor of the electronic module through respective paths formed on the grid and connected to at least one analog input unit arranged in the electronic module, the at least one analog input unit being in turn connected to at least one passive electrode and to the microprocessor through a data bus. The at least one analog input unit has an analog-to-digital converter for each active electrode connected thereto. A data acquisition and processing system, which includes the implantable device is also described.

  • Patent number: 8449563
Abstract: Fragmentable compression device for the anastomosis of hollow organs consisting of a pot-shaped body composed of two elements (1, 2), inserted one into the other and consisting of a plurality of composable sectors (5, 6), a third ring-shaped or hollow cylinder-shaped element (3) intended to be inserted into said pot-shaped body to clamp the edges of the organs to be anastomized, and a fourth element (4) also ring-shaped or hollow cylinder-shaped which is pressure-inserted into element (3) to compress said edges. Also elements (3, 4) consist of a plurality of composable sectors (7, 8). The axial dimension of the device is notably short so that, when it is applied in the vicinity of the anal canal of the patient, tenesmus is considerably reduced.

  • Patent number: 8292851
Abstract: An anchor guide for a trocar comprising a tubular body, formed by a plurality of substantially circular sectors, moveable radially toward and away from a longitudinal axis of the tubular body between a first position where they flank one another, according to a first substantially circular arrangement with diameter generally equal to that of the tubular body, and a second position at which they are generally equidistant from one another, according to a second substantially circular arrangement of greater diameter than that of the first arrangement. Each sector is rotatably connected to a support element and a manual operation member is provided, moveably connected to the support element, for moving the sectors from the first to the second position and vice versa.

  • Publication number: 20090254176
Abstract: The present invention regards a valve prosthesis (1; 40; 50; 60) comprising a stent (2) and characterised in that it comprises a valve (3) arranged in said stent (2) and bound thereto in at least one pre-established zone so that it can be deformed between a closed state in which said valve (3) is fully spread out in the stent (2), thus blocking the passage of a body fluid, and an open state in which said valve (3), due to the pressure of said body fluid, is substantially collapsed on an inner wall of said stent (2), thus permitting the flow of said body fluid. The invention also regards a method for making said valve prosthesis.
