Abstract: Method and apparatus for a pre-determinable orientation of label and capsule relatively to each other on a bottle during the bottling procedure, whereby the bottles are arranged to pass a positioning or orientation station, in which each individual bottle by mechanical or optical detection of at least one discontinuity or stationary marking on the bottle, on the sealing or on the label of the bottle is orientated in a predetermined position and releasably retained in this position during the following sealing or labelling of the bottle.
Abstract: Beverage product, especially adapted for rapid administration of water and carbohydrates to the human body during periods of heavy muscle work, which consists of a preferably monosaccharide-free solution containing 3-25% by weight of a mixture of soluble oligosaccharides with DP values between 2 and 10 inclusive, the average DP value of the oligosaccharide mixture preferably being in the range 3-5; at least one physiologically acceptable alkalizing compound or compound combination; and optionally salts occuring in body liquids and suitably aroma and taste-improving substances, all of them in minor amounts; the solution's content of the physiologically acceptable alkalizing compound or compound combination being such that when the beverage is consumed during heavy muscle work (e.g. at 60% of the maximal aerobic capacity) in an amount of 250 mls each fifteenth minute during one hour gives an increase of the pH value in the vertricle contents to above 3.5, preferably above 4.5, especially above 7.0.

Abstract: Beverage product, especially for rapidly replacing liquid and carbohydrates in the human body during periods of heavy muscle work, consisting of an essentially monosaccharide-free, hypotonic solution of soluble oligosaccharides and/or polysaccharides and mineral salts such as sodium chloride and other salts occurring in body liquids in an amount of at the most 3 grams per liter beverage, preferably at the most 1.5 grams per liter, which solution may contain suspended particles of insoluble polysaccharides, optionally together with a minor amount of aroma substances conventionally used in such products, and vitamin additives. The solution or suspension has an osmotic pressure in the range of about 7.5-1.0 atmospheres at 25.degree. C., preferably 6.0-2.5 atmospheres and especially 5.5-3.0 atmospheres.
