Patents Assigned to AB Siwertell
  • Patent number: 4717014
Abstract: A screw conveyor has a feeder device for promoting the supply of material to the screw, said feeder device and said screw being rotatable in opposite directions. The feeder device has blades (14, 15) which are curved in the manner of a trawl to draw in the material both from above and from below and to guide it inwardly towards the interior of said feeder device.

  • Patent number: 4702367
Abstract: A feed conveyor delivers bulk material which is transferred to a belt conveyor by a loading device. The loading device consists of a feed screw in a feed screw casing and imparts to the bulk material a motional component in the direction of travel of the belt conveyor. The discharge opening of the loading device is provided in the circumferential surface of the feed screw casing and is facing the conveyor belt and extends along it, such that the bulk material is discharged as a layer of material on the conveyor belt.

  • Patent number: 4621726
Abstract: A sealing device for sealing between two relatively rotating cylindrical surfaces in a conveyor has its one cylindrical surface formed as a stationary wall portion in a transition housing and its other cylindrical surface formed as a cylindrical wall portion of a rotating bottom in said transition housing, one of said cylindrical surfaces being provided with at least one scraper and/or impeller blade acting against the other of said cylindrical surfaces in order to feed material, during operation, in a direction into the interior of the conveyor, thereby to reduce the tendency of the bulk goods to penetrate between and cause wear of said two cylindrical surfaces.

  • Patent number: 4334818
Abstract: When particulate material reposing on a support or base is to be carried off in an upward direction by means of a vertical conveyor whose lower inlet end portion is vertically and laterally movable, there is a problem involved in the carrying-off of the final, small layer of material on the base and material in recesses and nooks, for example, in the cargo holds of a vessel, which cannot be reached directly by the inlet end portion of the vertical conveyor. This problem has been solved by means of the final unloading apparatus according to the present invention.

  • Patent number: 4286909
Abstract: An apparatus for unloading bulk material from a storage space includes an upward conveyor (14), in particular a screw conveyor. For scraping the bulk material to the inlet end (22) of the upward conveyor (14), there is a scraper conveyor (27, 28) which is pivotally movable up and down and is telescopically extensible. The scraper conveyor is pivotally connected to a protective tube (24) which is rotatable and extends about the upward conveyor (14). The protective tube is located within a pressure-absorbing pipe which prevents the bulk material from impeding the rotational movement of the protective tube. This arrangement makes it possible for the scraper conveyor to remove bulk material from different regions of the storage space, including corners.

  • Patent number: 4234075
Abstract: Two components, for example, conveyors, are interconnected by the intermediary of a connecting portion. The component connected to the connecting portion is shiftable along an alongate opening in the other component. The elongate opening is closable by means of a flexible web length which extends in the longitudinal direction of the elongate opening and in a loop about the connecting portion of the movable component. The connecting portion has guide means for successive lifting-out and laying of the web length respectively away from and towards the elongate opening on shifting of the connecting portion therealong.

  • Patent number: 4020953
Abstract: An apparatus for unloading particulate material, especially from ships, having an arm system comprising a horizontal conveyor section and a vertical conveyor section, which sections are interconnected in a torsionally rigid but pivotal manner for mutual relative movements in a common plane. The horizontal conveyor section is pivotally and swingably connected to a frame or foundation for raising and lowering of the horizontal conveyor section and for swinging of the complete arm system relative to the frame or foundation. In addition to being pivotally and swingably connected to the frame or foundation the horizontal conveyor section is tiltably connected thereto for inclination of the plane common to the vertical and horizontal conveyor sections relative to a vertical plane.
