Abstract: A method for coating a hollow body on its inner surface comprises pre-coating the inner surface with a reactive gas plasma (PECVD), and follow-up-coating the pre-coated surface with a reactive gas component without plasma action (CVD). The resulting hollow body is used for temporarily accommodating bodily liquids, in particular blood, or cell suspensions, due to its hydrophilizing PECVD/CVD-coating on its inner surface.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of producing cells having at least one characteristic of human hepatocytes as well as to cells produced by said method and uses of these cells.
Abstract: The invention concerns novel polypeptides, or parts or variants of the novel polypeptides, the use of sequences encoding the polypeptides and the use of antibodies directed against the polypeptides in the field of in vitro diagnosis of a Staphylococcus epidermidis and/or Staphylococcus aureus infection on foreign material implanted in the body.
Abstract: The invention relates to novel polynucleotides, including SEQ ID NO: 1 or parts or variants of the sequence, novel polypeptides encoded by the polynucleotides, expression vectors including the polynucleotides and host cells including the expression vectors. The polynucleotides and polypeptides can be used in the field of in vitro diagnosis and/or for production of vaccines against Legionella pneumophila.
Abstract: Methods and devices for attaching biomolecules to a solid substrate surface for example to the inner surface of a capillary. In particular, the invention relates to compounds and methods for creating patterned arrays of biomolecules inside fused silica capillaries so that a plurality of bioassays can be conducted simultaneously.
