Patents Assigned to ABB Reaktor GmbH
  • Patent number: 4988474
Abstract: Process and holding component for repair of a nuclear reactor fuel assembly spacer support. The holding component is formed from a metal strip, on the free ends of which are introduced elastic projections. After removal of the damaged crosspiece, a holding component partly embracing the fuel rod is locked into a slot of a spacer support by means of its projections.

  • Patent number: 4977782
Abstract: In order to measure torques on valves, measuring devices have heretofore been used which measure the force to be transmitted with the aid of weighing cells fitted with strain gauges. The structural make-up of such devices and the structural size resulting therefrom are not suitable to permit the measuring device to be permanently left between the valve and the electromotor, so that these measuring devices can be used only for periodic measurements. It is accordingly an object of the invention to provide a permanently installed device which allows continuous torque measurement. For this purpose, the housing of the actuator and the housing of the valve are connected to one another through a flanged bush. The flanged bush carries a strain gauge in the region of a recess, and has a clearance for the passage of the valve stem.

  • Patent number: 4937933
Abstract: In an apparatus for the introduction of a repair sleeve into a tube of a steam generator, difficulties are encountered if the axes of the repair sleeve and the steam generator tube are not aligned. Furthermore, problems are encountered in positioning the repair sleeve exactly in its end position. In order to achieve a precise centering and positioning of the repair sleeve, an aperture is formed by a connecting sleeve which is resiliently supported in the axial direction. The repair sleeve is clamped between a first shoulder of a holding grip and a centering piece which has a variable outside diameter. In such a structure, the greatest diameter of the shoulder surface is less than the inside diameter of the connecting sleeve. The holding grip is associated with a second shoulder having an axial distance from the first shoulder which is further away from the tube sheet than the first shoulder by the height of the connecting sleeve.

  • Patent number: 4936378
Abstract: Closure plugs have heretofore been required in an apparatus for stabilizing an unstable tube of a heat exchanger with a weakened wall region, in addition to providing a stabilizer. Furthermore, differing inside diameters can often not be bridged with the spreading range of the stabilizer. A rod which is fitted with two axially spaced-apart cam discs is provided in order to achieve not only a vibration-free stabilization but a simple sealing as well. Each cam disc has a spreading sleeve which engages over it. Once the spreading sleeve has been pressed against the inner wall of the tube by a relative rotation of the rod, the sleeve-shaped end of the rod is expanded by rolling or is welded in the tube sheet.
