Both mechanisms (B; C) cause circuit-opening when short-circuit currents occur, more precisely with a double pushing action on the contact-carrying bar (25). The mechanism (C) also interacts with a locking mechanism (D) interacting in turn with a control knob (3) for the manual opening of the main contacts (4).
