Abstract: Provided is a system for and a method of effecting payment to a beneficiary so as to include a real-time authorization of the payment and, more particularly, a system for and a method of effecting payment to a beneficiary by means of a conventional banking card, including a real-time authorization of the payment. A system may include a personal peripheral dongle operable to facilitate a payment transaction through use of a conventional banking card payment mechanism including entering a password associated with the banking card as well as presenting the banking card during a transaction authorization process.
