Abstract: An adjustable mounting system for holding a device in a particular position. The system comprises support apparatus having a base member for coupling the system to a rigid support structure. The system also comprises an expandable arm having adjustment apparatus for adjusting the length of the expandable arm anywhere between fully extended and fully shortened positions. The expandable arm has first and second ends. The first end of the expandable arm comprises mounting apparatus for mounting the arm to the support apparatus. The second end of the expandable arm comprises securing apparatus for securing the device to be held in a particular position proximate the second end of the expandable arm. The present system also comprises lockable positioning apparatus coupled between the first end of the expandable arm and the support apparatus for positioning and locking the arm so that the device can be held proximate the first end of the arm anywhere within first and second hemispheres.
