Abstract: A media transmission system and method for the transmission of a desired one of a plurality of broadcast media channels to a remote client over a data connection is disclosed. The system includes means for routing data for a first one of the broadcast media channels over the data connection to the remote client and means for routing data for an alternate one of the channels over the data connection following receipt of a channel change request from a user. This allows efficient use of a limited bandwidth data connection.

Abstract: Assisted compositional reasoning for test scripts is implemented by a Type Inference of GUI Object References (TIGOR). TIGOR makes types of GUI objects explicit in the source code by using the properties of GUI objects as referred to in test script statements to access a GUI object repository for GUI objects that have matching GUI objects properties. TIGOR analyzes the GUI object types of the matching GUI objects in view of a sequence of operations performed on the GUI objects in the test script statements. TIGOR infers a GUI object type for a GUI object when that GUI object type is determined to be valid and/or compatible with a sequence of operations, such as API calls, executed in test script statements that perform actions on the GUI object.

Abstract: Embodiments of the claimed subject matter provide a process and system for designing composite application systems. One embodiment of the claimed subject matter is a process of designing a composite application system to meet an application requirement. The process includes defining a use case scenario performed by a composite application system to meet the application requirement, integrating the use case scenario with an execution tool, and specifying an underlying infrastructure for the system design, wherein, the entire process is performed within an integrated software application.

The first message may be posted to the electronically mediated forum to provide a first posted message. The first posted message includes characteristics. The electronically mediated forum may be monitored to detect at least one instance of interaction with the first posted message. Interaction data may be extracted. Interaction data may include data describing at least one interaction the first posted message. The interaction data may be analyzed to determine the effect of the characteristics of the first posted message on the interaction(s) with the first posted message to provide determined effect data.

Abstract: A requirement statement manipulation system is configured to create and edit requirement statements of various types. The requirement statement manipulation system may generate an interactive visual environment to receive input used in manipulating a requirement statement through creation or editing. The interactive visual environment may include specific requirement-type interfaces allowing requirement statements of a specific type to be manipulated. The interactive visual environment may manipulate requirement statements based on textual input, as well as through text generation.

Abstract: A novel eco-system is provided which first supplies a standardized template of one or more virtual machine images for software module providers/vendors. A plurality of modules executing on the virtual machine images is selected by a user to comprise a plurality of configurations. A suitable configuration may be determined according to a metric and the determined suitable configuration of software modules is subsequently used to build an end-to-end solution.

Abstract: A collaboration service operation method provides an efficient and flexible method for operating services implemented across multiple systems. In particular, the method includes determining a change in a master record, and determining the nature of the change. Based on the nature of the change, the method further determines services to be implemented according to business rules and also determines to which systems the services will be implemented.

Abstract: A clinical quality analytics (CQA) system includes a process map toolset, which determines a process map from a protocol for medical treatment guidelines. A mapping module maps formats electronic medical record (EMR) data, which is mapped to the process map. A measurement and evaluation module determines metrics to evaluate a quality of care associated with the protocol and determines a population of the EMR data to use for the evaluation. A CQA engine evaluates the population of EMR data for compliance with the protocol based on the metrics and the process map.

Abstract: A system, method, and article of manufacture are provided for technology sharing during demand and supply planning in a network-based supply chain environment. Steps included are providing locator and mapping capabilities utilizing the network. Technology that includes streaming audio, stereo audio and video data is also shared utilizing the network. Encryption capabilities for the technology are also included. Further, searching capabilities are provided utilizing the network in addition to logging events and passive user profiling. The event logging includes logging network operations. User profile data is automatically received and stored. User profile data includes user identity, state, preferences and interests. User profile data is also automatically exported to an active profile manager which automatically adds additional user profile data. Additional user profile data includes information related to whether the user is a service provider or a manufacturer and the location of user.

Abstract: A system provides dynamic brokering of digital content requests. The system includes a conditional scheduler configured for appropriating location data and metadata, both pertaining to the digital content, via a communicative coupling with a content management system. The conditional scheduler produces schedule data and delivery rules pertaining to the digital content. The system further includes a plurality of content broker servers. The content broker server receives content data, such as content location data, the schedule data and the delivery rules, from the conditional scheduler. The content broker server receives a digital content request from a client player. The content broker server dynamically assembles a set of content retrieval instructions based upon the content data when a digital content request is received from the client player.

Abstract: A method for component discovery from source code may include receiving source code, and determining business classes by excluding packages and classes in the source code identified as belonging to a presentation layer, as belonging to a data access layer, as models and/or as utilities. The method may further include extracting multi-dimensional features from the business classes, estimating similarity for business class pairs based on the extracted multi-dimensional features, clustering the business classes based on the similarity and mapping functional concepts to the clusters. The clusters generated by the clustering may represent components of the source code. The method may also include determining interfaces for the components based on the clustering.

Abstract: The present invention relates to systems and methods for delivering telecommunications services to customers. The systems and methods allow for the rapid creation and deployment of new telecommunications services, and the bundling of multiple services into service packages that can be sold together as a single product. Based on the systems and methods, targeted service packages may be developed and marketed toward business customers in specific industries. The systems and method provide opportunities for new business arrangements between telecommunications service providers and smaller third party providers. The new business arrangements provide access to a much wider customer pool for the third party providers, and create new sources of revenue for telecoms.

The memory may store a first item, a second item, a first period of time and a second period of time. The interface may be operative to communicate with a user and an antenna. The antenna may be able to detect an item for a period of time. The processor may be operative to receive from the antenna, via the interface, the first item, the first period of time, the second item and the second period of time. The processor may determine whether the periods of time overlap. If the periods of time overlap the processor may communicate to the user that the items are upon the same platform, otherwise that the items are on consecutive platforms.

The system includes an electronic writing device that may detect form input data corresponding to a first predefined area and a second predefined area of a form. The system also includes a mobile station that may receive the form input data from the electronic device and send the form input data to a monitoring station. The mobile station may receive an error notification from the monitoring station when the form input data corresponding to the first predefined area is deficient, but may not receive an error notification when the form input data corresponding to the second predefined area is deficient. The mobile station may generate an output signal in response to receive an error notification.

Abstract: Systems and methods for distributed control and energy management of one or more communities of energy-consuming units may include aggregation of consumption data from units, and determining per-unit electricity consumption based thereon, including consumption of backup power provided by a community during periods of time of poor quality (brownouts) or blackouts of a utility. A system may calculate and assess to respective units per-unit costs for such backup power. A system may also issue a command or alert to units to carry out one or both of community electricity usage objectives and electricity quotas required by the utility, which may be determined through execution of rules.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, are described for contiguously seating passengers in a travel conveyance. In one aspect, a method includes receiving a seat request for multiple seats, and, in response to receiving the seat request, calculating factors associated with each seat in a set of eligible seats. The method includes defining an initial set of seats as a subset of the set of eligible seats, defining a set of factors for each seat in the initial set of seats, associating a priority with the multiple factor sets, where the factors include multiple contiguity and vacancy factors, the contiguity factors being of a higher priority than the vacancy factors. The method includes processing the factors based on the priority to identify an anchor seat from the initial set of seats, assigning the multiple seats based on the anchor seat.

Abstract: A corpus of textual listings is received and main concept words and attribute words therein are identified via an iterative process of parsing listings and expanding a semantic model. During the parsing phase, the corpus of textual listings is parsed to tag one or more head noun words and/or one or more identifier words in each listing based on previously identified main concept words or using a head noun identification rule. Once substantially each listing in the corpus has been parsed in this manner, the expansion phase assigns head noun words as main concept words and modifier words as attribute words, where possible. During the next iteration, the newly identified main concept words and/or attribute words are used to further parse the listings. These iterations are repeated until a termination condition is reached. Remaining words in the corpus are clustered based on the main concept words and attribute words.
