  • Publication number: 20240124099
Abstract: A system is for monitoring subsea parameters and is deployable in a water column. The system has: a tether to be moored to a seabed; a variable buoyancy member; one or more sensor units for sensing one or more subsea parameters; and a control unit. The control unit has a communication member for receiving data from the sensor unit(s) and for transmitting the data wirelessly to a remote recipient. The variable buoyancy member is adapted to move the communication member between a submerged position and a surface position for the wireless transmittal of data. The control unit is adapted to control the buoyancy of the variable buoyancy member. A non-variable buoyancy member is connected at an upper portion of the tether. The submerged position of the communication member is below the position of the non-variable buoyancy member. A method is for monitoring subsea parameters.

  • Patent number: 9938720
Abstract: A modular beam structure consisting of one or more collapsible, lockable and interconnectable support structure modules, and any transition module to change longitudinal direction of the structure. In addition, it is possible to attach onto one or more support structure modules a collapsible platform and/or wall or fence. The structure is at an upstream end or start end attachable, via a module end element, onto an attachment device, e.g. a wall or attachment block, via a support frame which is fixedly attached to the attachment device.

  • Patent number: 7182179
Abstract: A walker including a main frame with a main part with a telescopic frame member being slidably adjustable in relation to main part, a handle bar with a brake handle bar for activating a brake via a brake pull wire, a brake wire connected to a brake wire fastener and brake, and a brake tensioner plate arranged in frame member. The brake tensioner plate includes upper, lower and brake tensioner sheaves, one of the brake tensioner sheaves being laterally displaceable and arranged for adjusting the running length of the brake wire, so that the brake wire may be tensioned and the brake activated, for displacement along the brake wire and for telescopic displacement of the frame member, so that tensioning of the brake wire may occur independently from the vertical position of the brake tensioner plate.

  • Patent number: 6434129
Abstract: A method and system for implementing an air interface for a Time Division Duplex (TDD) Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) wireless local loop system that utilizes unique embedded concentrated access and embedded data access in a Wireless Local Loop (WLL) is described. The method and system further provides for dynamic pool sizing of the access channels. The interface is designed to support POTS (Plain Old Telephone), ISDN, and direct data service in a point to multi-point configuration. The interface is inherently flexible so as to provide Enhanced Bandwidth and quality of service (QOS) via CDMA. Channel concatenation (multi-code modulation) provides a multiplicity of channels. The system utilizes frequency division duplex (FDD) operation so as to double capacity. The system further utilizes scaleable architecture for bandwidth expansion and higher data rate services.

  • Patent number: 6131012
Abstract: A method and system for assigning multiple wireless communication channels in a Time Division Duplex (TDD) Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) wireless local loop system that utilizes unique embedded concentrated access and embedded data access in a Wireless Local Loop (WLL) is described. The method and system provides for removing a number of channels, called a bank, from a larger pool of channels. The removed bank of channels are then assigned in ways to provide subscribers with both voice and digital data service. The system is designed to support POTS (Plain Old Telephone), ISDN, and direct data service in a point to multi-point configuration. The system is inherently flexible so as to provide Enhanced Bandwidth and quality of service (QOS) via CDMA. Channel concatenation (multi-code modulation) provides a multiplicity of channels.
