Abstract: A motorcycle saddlebag mounting device having a restricting means for staggering timings of yawing occurring in a motorcycle body and resonance caused by lateral swing of a saddlebag is provided. The restricting means is provided between a support bracket mounted to a seat rail and a saddlebag mounting frame rotatably mounted to the support bracket. Rotation of the frame with respect to the support bracket is restricted, so that resonance caused by yawing of the motorcycle body and lateral swing of the saddlebag is cancelled out.

Abstract: In a state in which an operation screen for operating a frame in a frame page has been displayed, whether a change occurring to a frame in the page different from the currently displayed frame is a change arising from an operation satisfying a condition that is regarded to represent a user's explicit intention to view the different frame or not is judged. If the change is judged by the judgment to be a change arising from an operation satisfying the condition, the display is shifted to a screen showing the page in whole display and notifying the user of the frame to which the change has occurred.

Abstract: In the case-where a single user selectively uses plural wireless communication terminals by mounting and demounting a subscriber identification card thereon and therefrom, user convenience in such selective use of the plural terminals can be enhanced by synchronizing user data among those plural terminals. For this purpose, at least updated portion of the data stored in the memory in terminal is uploaded from the first terminal 10a on which SIM card (subscriber information card) 12 is mounted, to a server 50 via a communication network 20, according to a user's request or automatically. After the SIM card 12 demounted from the first terminal is mounted on the second terminal 10b or 10c, data to be downloaded to the second terminal from the server 50 is determined according to the user's request or automatically, and the data is downloaded to the second terminal from the server 50. In the second terminal, thus downloaded data is used to update the contents in the memory.

Abstract: A device information displaying system for displaying device internal information of one or more information devices includes: information browser means which acquires and analyzes document data described in a markup language, converts the acquired document data into layout data having a prescribed structure based on result of the analysis, and makes a display based on the layout data; and device information providing means which acquires the device internal information of the one or more information devices, generates display data containing the device internal information and having a structure equivalent to the prescribed structure of the layout data generated by the information browser means, and displays the generated display data through the information browser means.

Abstract: A method of rendering a page, which includes starting obtaining operation for obtaining a page made by a markup language, performing a text browsing mode operation on obtained part of data of the page in parallel with the obtaining operation of the page, judging whether or not acquisition of definition information which is information to be applied to the entire page so as to render the page as designated by a markup language document of the page is finished, and switching onscreen representation, depending on a result of the judging, from onscreen representation in a text browsing mode to onscreen representation in which the definition information is applied.

Abstract: A registration server (40) is connected to a mobile terminal (20) via a communication network (10) and registers desired scene information specifying a desired scene of a user in a broadcast program together with the communication address information (telephone number or mail address or the like) of the mobile terminal (20). A scene management server (42) classifies and manages the scene information on the real scene appearing in the broadcast program. A message transmission server (46) checks whether the real scene corresponds to the desired scene. If it does, the scene management server (42) transmits scene information indicating that broadcast of the desired scene is or has been started via the communication network (10) or the data broadcast to the user, i.e., the mobile terminal (20). In response to the notification of the scene information, the user of the mobile terminal (20) can view the scene substantially in real time by the TV On instruction without performing channel setting.

Abstract: The present invention is a browser program for a content display apparatus, such as a TV set or a DVD player. This browser program displays the same number of windows provided correspondingly to at least a part of multiple buttons provided to a controller of the content display apparatus by superimposing them on a display area, is able to display at least a part of results of interpreting a markup language document in each window, and if one of the buttons other than the button corresponding to the window currently displayed in the highest-level layer is activated, it displays the window corresponding to this button in the highest-level layer.

Abstract: There is provided a method of laying out contents targeted for a first device having a first screen size on a screen of a second device having a second screen size smaller than the first screen size. The method includes analyzing a table width of the table in accordance with a predetermined criterion; and performing in response to a result of the analyzing step one of layout operations of: (p1) laying out the table using a typical technique in accordance with the second screen size, and (p2) laying out a row of cells in the table so that at least two cells arranged adjacently in a horizontal direction in the row of the table are aligned horizontally on the screen of the second device based on a predetermined algorithm.

Abstract: The TV program table data in the area where a viewer resides are received through the Internet or a broadcasting medium by using the TV set with an internet connection function at the viewer. While the viewer is watching a TV program, the audience data including viewed channel information and viewed time information are automatically obtained. The obtained audience data are compared with the TV program table data to identify the watched program. The program ID of the identified program and the viewed time information are transferred to a data collecting center through the Internet together with the viewer ID data. By utilizing the Internet for the distribution of the TV program table data to the viewers and for the collection of the audience data, the nationwide TV audience data can be easily collected and used to make statistics. Since viewed channel and viewed time information are correlated with programs on the viewer's side, the load of processing the data on the center side can be relieved.

Abstract: A power saving method and device capable of dynamically select an appropriate power saving mode according to operation states of a computer system. When a power saving system task 15 detects that an execution queue 132 does not contain any executable user task and the computer system has entered an idle state, a power saving transition check module 154 checks if an event queue 131 contains a timer-expiration-waiting event. Depending upon whether or not the timer-expiration-waiting event is present, the computer system moves from a normal operation mode to a first or a second power saving operation mode, each power saving operation mode having its own power saving effect. A power saving mode release module 231 of an interrupt handler 23 returns the system from the first or second power saving operation mode to the normal operation mode in response to an occurrence of an interrupt. For example, in the first power saving operation mode, the CPU operation clock is stopped.

Abstract: A method of managing downloading contents in a network system including a terminal device, a management server and a downloading site includes three phases of procedures. In a first phase procedure, the management server receives a request for downloading contents from the terminal device and performs a predetermined registration operation. In a second phase procedure, the management server transmits attribution data corresponding to the contents to be downloaded by the terminal device, the attribution data including information of the downloading site. In a third phase procedure, the terminal device accessed the downloading site in accordance with the information included in the attribution data and downloads the contents.

During this interpretation, the button identifiers of operation buttons of the remote controller are recognized so as to create a button assignment table which correlates the recognized button identifiers with hot spots corresponding to anchor tags in the HTML document. The HTML document also includes display information as to which button is assigned to each hot spot.

Abstract: An information apparatus which has access means by which a document on the Internet is accessed and automatic Web tracing means which automatically trace link destinations successively according to a predetermined rule and parameters based on the link information which is set in the accessed document. The predetermined rule is either a depth-first search or a width-first search. The predetermined parameters include at least a link depth limit to be used when the link destinations are traced downward in the hierarchy, an interval of time required for a transit from one document to another, and an automatic Web tracing time-out time. The rule and parameters may be specified by a user. Automatic Web tracing may be performed either on-line or off-line. Thus, time-varying information can passively be received as if it were television information, minimizing operation steps necessary for a user to perform the automatic Web browsing of the Internet.

Abstract: A mobile communication device with a flat display of relatively large screen size, capable of displaying an HTML document, to enhance its operability. A personal information list written in HTML is present on the display. Anchor points are set to person names, phone numbers, FAX numbers and e-mail addresses in the list. Selection of these items with a pen causes their associated operations to be performed. The person names and their phone numbers of the list appear within a display window of the device with its cover closed. With respect to the anchor points other than those to the phone numbers, a special character string “KEYSKIP” is set in each start tag of the anchor points. A browser sequentially moves a focus among the anchor points in response to the rotating operation of a rotary push switch. In this processing, the browser will skip the focusing of the anchor points that has the “KEYSKIP” attribute added.
