Abstract: A method for wirelessly charging and/or re-charging at least one sports object embedded with a battery and circuitry is provided. The method includes positioning the sports object proximate to a charging system, the charging system containing circuitry for wirelessly communicating with the sports object, whereby information is bi-directionally transferred by radio frequency and electric power is transferred to the sports object by induction. The sports object circuitry is adapted for determines a charging requirement of the power cell therein.
Abstract: A method is provided for controlling ROM parameters embedded in a microprocessor software executable without modifications to the underlying source code. The method includes: presenting a software program having a plurality of machine instructions of a finite number of fixed lengths in an executable form; searching through the machine instructions of the executable and finding at least one appropriate instruction defined in a read only memory space to replace; defining a replacement instruction for identified machine instructions in the software program; and replacing identified machine instructions in the executable form of the software program with the replacement instruction. The replacement instruction may be further defined as a branch instruction that references an address outside an address space for the software program.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for tracking location and flight path attributes of one or more sports objects, associating the sports objects with individual players, mapping each sports object location and a flight path to surrounding field of play, and allowing each player to access the location and flight path attributes of their sports objects. The present invention outfits sports objects with electronic devices that receive and transmit position and location information obtained from the Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) System, without adversely affecting the sports object's ability to perform in a standard way.
