    Abstract: A sheet feeding device includes a feed roller consisting of a rigid roller and an elastic coating covering at least part of the feed roller. A sheet is placed between the pressing member and the feed roller and is pressed tightly by the pressing member. While the feed roller rotates, the sheet is fed by means of the friction between the sheet and the pressing member and between the sheet and the feed roller. The thickness of the elastic coating is preferably much less than the radius of the rigid roller, and is also preferably less than 0.5 millimeter.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an image scanning apparatus and more particularly to a dual transmissive/reflective image scanning apparatus with protective apparatus. The present invention includes a housing, an original cover, a tray of a first type, and a tray of a second type. The housing provides a slot, within which the tray of the first type or the tray of the second type may be selectively inserted. The tray of the first type is inserted within the slot for reflective scanning, while on the other hand, the tray of the second type is selectively inserted within the slot for transmissive scanning. In addition, a first device is provided within the housing, and the tray of the first type has a second device for selectively coupling with the first device. The original cover has a third device for selectively coupling with the first device.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a dual transmissive/reflective image scanning apparatus for improving the scanning quality of reflective originals. The present invention includes a slot for selectively accommodating a tray of a first type or a tray of a second type. For reflective scanning, the tray of the first type, which includes a means of transparent material such as glass, is inserted within the slot. For transmissive scanning, the tray of the second type without a means of transparent material may be selectively inserted within the slot. As scanning transparent originals, a light source from the original cover passes directly thought the transparent originals and thus it reduces obstruction that may be caused by a transparent material. Furthermore, either the tray of the first type or the tray of the second type is allowed to be withdrawn from the housing for cleaning greasy dirt or dust deposited on the glass or installing various holders for transparent originals.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a mobile phone including a main printed circuit board. A first connector and a second connector are welded respectively onto a first predetermined location and a second predetermined location of the main printed circuit board, wherein a first power supply and a second power supply are provided respectively by the first connector and the second connector. The main printed circuit board includes a first portion corresponding to a keypad module and a second portion corresponding to an LCM module. The mobile phone also provides a holder, wherein a space is included in the holder to accommodate the LCM module. A slit is formed at a predetermined location of the holder. The mobile phone further includes a secondary printed circuit board carrying a plurality of LEDs to provide a back light source. The secondary printed circuit disposed within the aforementioned slit includes a first contact point and a second contact point.
