  • Patent number: 7458745
Abstract: A one-piece drainage channel for surface drainage is disclosed that comprises a molded, elongate body, in particular made of concrete polymer, with an upper surface over which vehicles can travel and which comprises inlet openings that open into a channel compartment, with side walls and a floor and with end faces to which can be connected additional drainage channels, catch pits or similar drainage installations, wherein the channel compartment comprises adjoining boundary surfaces, in particular a ceiling boundary surface nearest to the upper surface, side boundary surfaces and a base boundary surface. In order to provide easier manufacture along with high stability, even in the case of large channel widths and lengths, it is proposed to construct at least one side boundary surface and the base boundary surface or the ceiling boundary surface so that the channel compartment tapers conically in the direction from one of the end faces to the other.

  • Publication number: 20070122237
Abstract: The invention relates to a fixing device for a cover of a drainage channel, road or yard gully or similar surface drainage devices, said cover being placed on an upper rim of a channel body, runoff box or similar body that can be embedded in the ground, with first fixing elements on the cover and second fixing elements on the body embeddable in the ground, such that the first fixing elements and the second fixing elements in each case can be brought into snapping engagement with one another to retain the cover on the body. The fixing device achieves a secure locking of the cover by simple manipulation, while simultaneously optimizing the cover's seating. To accomplish this the first fixing elements and/or the second fixing elements each comprise at least one damping section with a contact surface between the cover and the body embeddable in the ground, so that when locked in position the cover is spaced apart from the upper rim of the body.

  • Patent number: 5518336
Abstract: Drainage gutters for installation in the ground are known which comprise a gutter body at the upper edges of which are integrally cast frames into which a cover can be placed. As they are installed in the ground the drainage gutters are sealed from the ground along their upper edges by means of first sealing devices. To produce a watertight seal between each two drainage gutters that abut one another by their end faces, second sealing devices are provided. These sealing devices each comprise grooves that can be filled with a sealant. The known drainage gutters are not completely watertight with respect to the ground. It is proposed to provide connecting channels between the first and the second grooves, so constructed that the sealant of the first sealing devices can be introduced so as to be continuous with the sealant of the second sealing devices by way of a complete or integral transition region.
