Abstract: This disclosure describes a system that electronically collects, translates, groups, and delivers wage assignment information from at least one initiator to at least one recipient via an accumulator. An initiator initially receives the wage assignment information. Then, an accumulator collects the wage assignment information from at least one initiator, such as a government agency. The accumulator then translates the wage assignment information into a format compatible with electronic data interchange (EDI), such as the ANSI X12 standard. The accumulator then groups the EDI wage assignment information into specific files, batching the files based upon one data field contained within the wage assignment information data set, such as a recipient. The accumulator then delivers a batched EDI wage assignment file to each respective recipient. Once the EDI wage assignment file is received by the recipient, the wage assignment may then be implemented.

The field devices may be placed in cradles, which facilitate the transfer of the field and file information. A network is provided for receiving the field information from the field devices and transferring the field information to field devices located in the cradles. The system also provides a server operable to receive the field information from the network, store the field information in data tables assigned to at least one client, and transmit updated field information to the network.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus and computer program products are provided for monitoring compliance in reporting unclaimed property. The method is capable of identifying both potential non-reporters and potential under-reporters. In this regard, potential under-reporters may be identified as a result of a multilevel review that may take into account the recent reporting history, both in terms of frequency and the type and quantity of unclaimed property that has been reported. The potential non-reporters and potential under-reporters may then be further evaluated, such as by means of an audit or other follow up procedure, to insure compliance.

Abstract: A method, system and computer program product are provided for creating software that can be used to reformat incoming insurance-related data into a format that conforms to the requirements or preferences of the receiving party. In particular, the software generated is capable of causing a particular action to be taken which will result in the transfer of the received data from one format to another in response to certain conditions being met. These conditions are defined by a decision table, from which the software is automatically generated. A means is further provided for using the received data, which has been reformatted where necessary, to create a user-friendly table that defines the rules and parameters of a particular insurance policy. The table is capable of being easily understood by those unfamiliar with the intricacies of insurance claim processing and programming code, and is further capable of being read by a claims processing engine when processing an insurance claim.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods provide an accumulator that processes electronic payments from an employer to a recipient via a network. The payments processed may be, for example, child support payments collected from an employee by the employer. The employer may submit one transaction made up of payments collected from multiple employees bound for multiple recipients and the accumulator may receive, translate, batch, and deliver the payments to the multiple recipients. The accumulator, employers, and recipients may communicate via a network such as the Internet.

In particular, the software generated is capable of recognizing and flagging certain situations or sets of conditions when they arise in an insurance claim that is being processed. These situations or sets of conditions, as well as the type of flag, or “edit,” that should be posted when each occurs, are defined in a decision table from which the software is automatically generated. A method of processing an insurance claim using the automatically generated software is also provided.
