Abstract: The invention relates to methods for removing dirt deposits on at least one geometric structure of at least one body, said geometric structure being produced by means of microtechnology and/or nanotechnology, wherein the dirt deposits are dirt deposits resulting from an ablation or evaporation of material during creation of the geometric structure; and uses of an ultra-short pulsed laser with pulses in burst mode. The methods for removing dirt deposits and the uses of an ultra-short pulsed laser with pulses in the burst mode are characterized more particularly in that the resulting dirt deposits are easy to remove. Ultra-short pulsed laser irradiation is applied from a laser onto the geometric structure with pulses in the burst mode to remove the dirt deposits.

Abstract: A method for the laser-based generation of a structure on a rake face of a cutting tool is disclosed, where at least one structure is formed by lines that are generated with a mutual spacing of at most 400 ?m with a laser beam at least in areas within a predetermined contour on at least one rake face of the cutting tool. A course of the lines forming the structure is oriented with respect to a profile of at least one cutting edge of the at least one rake face.

Abstract: A method for controlling a tool, including the steps: providing a reference matrix including reference points and a centering matrix including centering points in a material processing plane; imaging the material processing plane through a camera as a camera image in a size of a camera image field; de-skewing the camera image of the material processing plane by aligning with the reference matrix; scaling a pixel size of the camera image through aligning with the reference matrix; centering the camera image through aligning with the centering points; projecting a processing contour onto the de-skewed and scaled camera image of a workpiece; and aligning the processing contour on the camera image of the work piece and starting the processing, wherein the processing of the work piece is performed though the tool along the processing contour.

Abstract: A method for producing rough surface structures comprising the following step: running a laser beam along filling lines (1) over an area to be processed, wherein the filling line (1) is broken down into particular laser dots (2) with a distance a, and wherein the laser dots (2) are moved in a X direction and in a Y direction in a plane with a random factor b relative to the filling line (1) so that they form a cloud of dots.
