Patent number: 11646660Abstract: Energetic firing device using a boost circuit to ensure an energetic fire circuit is charged to an All-Fire voltage even if a power source is not capable of providing necessary voltage. Boost circuit may be located between power source and energetic fire circuit and increase voltage provided by the power source when enabled. Boost circuit may be located between system logic and the energetic fire circuit and generate the All-Fire voltage when enabled. The boost circuit may generate the All-Fire voltage from an enable signal and a pulse train provided by the system logic. The boost circuit may be a switching power supply that may regulate the All-Fire voltage generated. The boost circuit may be a capacitive voltage multiplier. The boost circuit may remove power from being provided to the energetic fire circuit until enabled thus reducing system power and increasing safety.Type: GrantFiled: March 9, 2021Date of Patent: May 9, 2023Assignee: Action Manufacturing CompanyInventors: Francis Mattia, Richard Frantz, Matthew Kordbegli

Patent number: 7729205Abstract: A method and system for accurate timing in a low current system useful in fuzing applications generates a first count of oscillations of an oscillator of unknown frequency during a first period of unknown duration. A second count of oscillations of the oscillator is generated during a second period of a known duration. The duration of the first period is calculated based on the first count and the second count. A solid-state, thin-film battery is able to be used by virtue of low-current characteristics of the system, enabling extended shelf life for fuzing systems.Type: GrantFiled: March 3, 2008Date of Patent: June 1, 2010Assignee: Action Manufacturing CompanyInventors: Jonathan C. Siebott, Richard A. Frantz

Patent number: 4726296Abstract: An ammunition cartridge has a plastic case and a metal base having a plurality of grooves around the periphery thereof. The plastic case has an interference fit with the base. The plastic creeps into the grooves after being interference fit over the base to relieve the stress in the plastic. A stress modulator ring surrounds the plastic member in the area of the grooves.Type: GrantFiled: April 22, 1985Date of Patent: February 23, 1988Assignee: Action Manufacturing CompanyInventors: Ervin Leshner, Reed E. Patent number: 4670921Abstract: A portable, collapsible stretcher has frame poles, each of which have a medial joint which folds in one direction and two outer joints which fold in the opposite direction. A wedge is insertable into the medial joint to support the weight when the stretcher is extended. The outer joints have a locking mechanism which is operated by a linkage interconnecting the spreader bars and the folding legs. As the stretcher is extended, the outer joints are locked and the legs are unfolded from their normal position against the frame poles.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 1984Date of Patent: June 9, 1987Assignee: Action Manufacturing CompanyInventors: Yoav Avni, Ervin Leshner

Patent number: 4335643Abstract: Disclosed is a semi-automatic firearm which has a configuration generally similar to a known form of submachine gun insofar as it comprises an elongate receiver, a pistol grip extending downwardly from the receiver and forming a housing for a cartridge magazine and a trigger mechanism and sear located forwardly of the pistol grip. The firearm operates on the blowback principle with closed breech type operation and employs a slidable bolt and separate slidable firing pin striker mechanism within the receiver, with the bolt being freely slidable and the sear operating on the striker mechanism. The trigger mechanism only has a semi-automatic and a safety setting and the bolt face has a feed lip of a design which causes the firearm intentionally to jam under certain abnormal operating conditions.Type: GrantFiled: May 16, 1980Date of Patent: June 22, 1982Assignee: Action Manufacturing CompanyInventor: Uzi Gal
