  • Patent number: 11698035
Abstract: A fugitive gas detection system is provided. The system includes a cloud service, a plurality of reach-based components, a plurality of wireless gas sensors. The reach-based components comprise backhauls and gateways. The wireless gas sensors are acted as nodes to acquire sensor data in a local mesh network and the nodes are connected to the cloud service through the reach-based components, one node can transmit the sensor data to other sensor nodes of the local mesh network. The system measures flammable gas levels with speed, economy and accuracy.

  • Patent number: 8630462
Abstract: An apparatus includes an acquisition module, an area definition module, a comparison module and a rendering module. The acquisition module is configured to receive a first position datum and a second position datum associated with a position of an object at a first time and a second time, respectively. The area definition module is configured to set an area surrounding a first object position associated with a focal point of the first position datum as a dead-zone. The comparison module is configured to determine whether a focal point of the second position datum is within that area. If yes, the rendering module is configured to maintain a position on a display of a graphic. Otherwise, the area definition module is configured to set an area surrounding a second object position associated with the first object position and the focal point of the second position datum as the dead-zone.

  • Patent number: 5491740
Abstract: The present invention relates to an automated programmer for actuating a sequence of keys on a handset of a cellular telephone, as required by manufacturer instructions, to initialize the telephone for operation in a cellular system. The programmer comprises a pair of pusher members for actuating the keys on the keypad, and a holder for securing the handset above the pusher members. The holder is adjustable in three dimensions to allow securing of handsets of various shapes and sizes. Also, each pusher member is controlled by a driver, which can move the pusher member to any location within a three dimensional space. This allows the programmer to actuate the keys on different cellular telephones having a variety of handset shapes and sizes, and a variety of keypad configurations. Two pushers are provided to allow the programmer to depress two keys simultaneously, as required by some cellular telephones.

  • Patent number: 4885945
Abstract: A novel method for fabricating glass micropipettes comprises assembling glass tubes side-by-side in a bundle, softening an axially central region of the bundle by heating, axially elongating the softened central region to create two opposing tapers, and then dividing the bundle in two at the axial midpoint of the central region to thereby create two micropipettes. The distal tip end of each micropipette at which it was separated from the other is then relatively advanced toward a hot flame to create a spherical enlargement at the tip end. This spherical enlargement facilitates subsequent gripping of this end when the micropipette is subsequently finished to produce desired orifice sizes for the barrels at the distal tip end. It is also desirable to perform a twisting step after the softening step and before the elongating step.
