Patent number: 10710858Abstract: Disclosed is an extractor for an airplane galley storage container. The extractor may include a rigid frame with a grip on a first end portion connected to an extractor arm on an opposite, second end portion of the rigid frame. When the grip is pulled, the extractor arm moves correspondingly proximally from its position on the opposite end of the rigid frame. When the grip is released, at least one constant force spring, stored in a spring housing on or near a distal end of a rigid frame of the extractor, biases the extractor arm and grip distally to a rest position.Type: GrantFiled: June 24, 2019Date of Patent: July 14, 2020Assignee: Actron Manufacturing, Inc.Inventors: Frank H. Rechberg, Jason A. Rechberg

Patent number: 8459758Abstract: A drawer slide with an auto close dampening system with reset feature is disclosed. The drawer slide may incorporate a stationary slide member attached to a frame of the drawer and a pin in fixed relative position to a drawer box of the drawer. A carriage is attached to the stationary slide member and has an actuator that is releasably engageable with the pin. The actuator works in conjunction with the pin to automatically close the drawer box to the closed position. During malfunction, the actuator is drawn back to a retracted position so that the auto close mechanism no longer automatically closes the drawer box when the drawer box is traversed to the closed position. The actuator includes a ramp so that the pin may be pushed over the ramp and engage back with the actuator to reset the auto close mechanism.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 2010Date of Patent: June 11, 2013Assignee: Actron Manufacturing, Inc.Inventors: Frank H. Rechberg, Jason A. Rechberg

Patent number: 7367597Abstract: A push-to-open latch is selectively moveable between latched and unlatched positions. The push-to-open latch comprises a latch assembly that is reciprocatable relative to a catch assembly. The latch assembly includes a latch housing having a housing bore extending to a housing bottom wall. A pin rod shaft extends upwardly from the housing bottom wall and has a pin rod dowel extending outwardly therefrom. The catch assembly includes a catch housing with an inner and outer cam rotatably disposed therewithin and having mating ends that collectively define a cam interior. The inner and outer cam mating ends have cam bores and inner and outer cam mating end ramps that cooperate to alternately engage and release the pin rod dowel from the cam interior such that the push-to-open latch is respectively placed in the latched and unlatched positions during reciprocation of the pin rod shaft through the cam bore.Type: GrantFiled: November 10, 2006Date of Patent: May 6, 2008Assignee: Actron Manufacturing, Inc.Inventor: Frank H. Rechberg

Patent number: 6816760Abstract: The present invention is protective enclosure that is configured to receive an electronic device, such as a pocket PC or a PDA. The protective enclosure includes an interface device capable of coupling with the electronic device and a vehicle diagnostic system, thereby placing the electronic device in circuit communication with a vehicle diagnostic system. A communications protocol is generated by the interface device to establish communications with the vehicle diagnostic system. The vehicle diagnostic information is received and the interface adapter is capable of communicating the diagnostic information to the electronic device.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 2003Date of Patent: November 9, 2004Assignee: Actron Manufacturing CompanyInventor: Hamid Namaky

Patent number: 6777945Abstract: An improved hand held starting/charging system tester. According to one aspect of the present invention, the portable handheld tester includes a connector to which various test cables can be removably connected to the tester. Detection circuitry within the tester determines which of several types of test cable is connected to the tester before testing. According to another aspect of the present invention, the portable handheld tester includes an improved user interface that permits a user to review test data from previously performed tests and further permits a user to either skip a previously performed test (thereby retaining the previously collected data for that test) or re-do the test (thereby collecting new data for that test). According to yet another aspect of the present invention, the portable handheld tester that performs a more complete set of tests of the starting/charging system.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 2003Date of Patent: August 17, 2004Assignee: Actron Manufacturing CompanyInventors: Robert A. Patent number: 6701233Abstract: An improved scan tool, e.g., for OBD II, for use with vehicle computer networks. The improved scan tool determines the proper protocol to use to communicate with a vehicle computer network. The proper protocol is determined by requesting information from the vehicle computer network using a plurality of protocols and selecting the protocol that returns the most pieces of information. In addition, the improved scan tool determines a communications drop-out with one or more modules and automatically recovers from the communications drop-out.Type: GrantFiled: May 31, 2002Date of Patent: March 2, 2004Assignee: Actron Manufacturing CompanyInventors: Hamid Namaky, Robert Charles Sheppard, Michael F.
