Abstract: A device for mounting a position measuring device onto a machine tool includes at least one hanger tool, e.g., two hanger tools. Each hanger tool includes: a bracket detachably attachable to a housing of the position measuring device, e.g., at a respective end of the position measuring device; a mounting plate detachably attachable to a machine surface of the machine tool; and an adjustment device adapted to adjust a distance between the bracket and the mounting plate.
