Abstract: An intraocular lens assembly for implantation in a human eye, the eye including a ciliary muscle and zonules controlled by the ciliary muscle, the assembly including an optic having anterior and posterior surfaces depending from a common edge, at least two, preferably rigid, linkage arms, each being attached to the optic at a first position on the arm thereof and cooperating with ciliary muscle or the zonules at a second position on the arm, and at least two pivots, one of which is rotatably attached to each respective linkage arm intermediate the first and second positions.
