Patent number: 4736938Abstract: An improved suction feeder, particularly for printing machines is disclosed, wherein higher feeding and printing speeds are made possible. The main features of the invention is that in the body of the suction feeder is a small conduit channel and an air filling small channel which connect an inleading small channel for the bringing of pressurized air into an empty space over a small piston. In the said small conduit channel is formed a pressure spring in the upper part of said small conduit channel, and a seat in which a small ball is placed on the other end. The above described suction feeder works on the principle of the difference of air pressure above and below the small piston. While individual paper sheets are being lifted from a pile of sheets, the pressurized air is led into the empty space over the small piston, by which it instantaneously neutralizes the remaining depressurized air, leading to an instantaneous loosening of the paper sheets.Type: GrantFiled: November 7, 1985Date of Patent: April 12, 1988Assignee: ZVS Adamovske strojirny, koncernovy podnikInventors: Jaroslav Jiruse, Milan Konecny, Vladimir Drlik

Patent number: 4538513Abstract: Mechanism for the control of printing pressures in a printing machine, particularly the printing pressures exerted by accessory devices such as a unit for the numbering of the printing articles. A single mechanism controls the single functions of the printing mechanism, such as the bringing into pressure engagement and the disengagement of the printing cylinders, the control of the inking unit, the control of the numbering device, and also possibly of other mechanisms. Around the circumference of a double-cam, there are arranged a plurality of two-arm levers. A first two-arm lever, which is pivotally arranged on a fixed, pivot pin is connected by means of a first pull rod with the mechanism of the inker unit. A second two-arm lever is journalled on a second fixed pivot, the second two-arm lever being connected by means of a second pull rod with a mechanism for imposing printing pressure and releasing such printing pressure.Type: GrantFiled: November 8, 1984Date of Patent: September 3, 1985Assignee: ZVS Adamovske strojirny, koncernovy podnikInventors: Vaclav Sedlak, Jaroslav Jiruse

Patent number: 4488484Abstract: Control device for the offset cylinder of an offset printing machine, said control device selectively governing the movement of the offset cylinder into printing engagement with the plate and impression cylinders of the printing machine and the movement of the offset cylinder away from said plate and impression cylinders to relieve them of printing pressure. The control device mounts the offset cylinder sufficiently stiffly in the frame of the printing machine so as to avoid faults in the printing as, for example, the formation of strips on the printed paper sheets. The offset cylinder is rotatably mounted on an eccentric shaft which is mounted in first adjustable bearings which are arranged in eccentric bushings. On said eccentric bushings there are mounted second adjustable bearings which are arranged in bearing flanges which are adjustably fastened in the side walls of the printing machine.Type: GrantFiled: June 1, 1983Date of Patent: December 18, 1984Assignee: ZVS Adamovske strojirny koncernovy podnikInventors: Jaroslav Jiruse, Zbynek Liska

Patent number: 4336930Abstract: The invention relates to a sheet transfer device, for offset printing machines which print on one side of the sheet or on both sides of the sheet of paper, having a means for adjustment to accommodate sheets of different sizes, achieving thereby an accurate register printing. The feature of the device according to the invention is a reset wheel of the sheet transfer drum which is adjustably mounted on a centering flange, on rollers rotatably mounted on eccentric pins mounted in the centering flange. The centering flange has rotatably mounted eccentrics, which bear on carrying projections of the transfer drum body, while the transfer drum reset wheel is fastened to the flange. The clearance between the reset wheel and the flange centering diameter is adjusted by eccentric pins, while at the same time the reset wheel is centered so that its gearing is precisely centered with the transfer drum axis. The clearance of the toothing of the reset wheel is taken up by take-up segments.Type: GrantFiled: October 15, 1980Date of Patent: June 29, 1982Assignee: Adamovske strojirny, narodni podnikInventors: Arnost Cerny, Jiri Fiser, Jaroslav Jiruse, Vaclav Sedlak

Patent number: 4336755Abstract: The present invention is a device for a multicolor printing machine which permits continuous and precise axial setting of a form cylinder to obtain quality register printing during the printing operation of the machine. After setting of the form cylinder, it is also possible to eliminate clearance between the elements of the setting mechanism. The control elements are advantageously arranged on one side of the machine in such a manner as to be easily accessible for the operator. The device enables the elimination of clearance between the elements necessary for the axial setting by means of securing elements and the coupling of the drive gear with the form cylinder by means of a carrier in which the radial clearance has been eliminated and as a result, the shifting of the drive gear is made possible without introduction of radial clearance.Type: GrantFiled: August 6, 1980Date of Patent: June 29, 1982Assignee: Adamovske strojirny, narodni podnikInventor: Zbynek Liska

Patent number: 4331879Abstract: The invention is a photoelectric sensing device, in the body of which is rotatably mounted a photoelectric sensing element, the sight opening of which is arranged in a plane with the front stops and bears on the vertical front plane of the pile of paper sheets. The body of the photoelectric sensing device can be mounted on the carrier rod of the front stops. The sensing device provides an advantage in that the device works with daylight and also with artificial light so that a special source of light is not necessary for operation of the sensing device. As a result of arranging the photoelectric sensing element in the plane of the front or lateral stops, the sight opening glass is continually wiped by falling paper sheets and is not obscured by dust. The photoelectric sensing device is simple to manufacture and is reliable.Type: GrantFiled: May 12, 1980Date of Patent: May 25, 1982Assignee: Adamovske strojirny, narodni podnikInventor: Bozislav Gersl
