The jack further includes a circuit board that electrically connects the contact springs to the wire termination contacts. The circuit board includes a crosstalk compensation arrangement for reducing crosstalk at the jack. The circuit board also includes arrangements that reduce return loss at the jack.

The slack storage panel defines a single cable routing pathway. The patch cords are routed through the slack storage panel such that no portion of the length of each patch cord overlaps itself. In systems including both copper and fiber cables, the copper cables are routed separately from the fiber cables.

Radius limiters may be part of the drawer assembly and include a cable entry aperture have a closed perimeter and a flared cable guide surface around most of, and preferably all of, the closed perimeter to allow for the entry of cables from all directions. A control mechanism controls movement of the radius limiter relative to the drawer assembly. The control mechanism includes a rotating member that has an axis of rotation transverse to the slidable motion of the radius limiter and normal to the radius limiter.

The multi-carrier modem modulates upstream information data onto distinct subcarriers of the OFDM waveform, the multi-carrier modem synchronized with the host so that upstream OFDM signals transmitted by the transceiver and other upstream OFDM signals received at the host unit combine to a unified OFDM waveform. The multi-carrier modem adjusts a round trip path delay between the remote service unit and the host based on a path delay correction received from the host unit.
