Abstract: The present invention provides orodispersable tablets and methods of using the same. The tablets and methods are useful, for example, for reducing first pass metabolism of orally administered active agents, enhancing bioavailability of active agents, and/or reducing the time it takes for an active agent to achieve maximal effect in a subject. The tablets, when taken orally, disintegrate or dissolve rapidly such that active agent included in the tablets is absorbed in the buccal cavity. The invention further provides methods of manufacturing any of the tablets disclosed herein and containers that include any of the tablets disclosed herein.

Abstract: A garbage bin in which, when the opening of a container in which garbage is placed is closed by a lid, odor emanating from the garbage does not leak to the outside from a gap between the container and the lid. The garbage bin includes an outer container, an inner container placed inside the outer container and in which garbage is placed, an openable/closable outer lid pivotally attached to the outer container and closing the opening of the outer container, and an inner lid attached to the lower surface of the outer lid and moving together with the outer lid. The lower surface of the inner lid is in intimate contact with the upper end of the inner container when the opening of the outer container is closed by the outer lid.
Abstract: A pharmaceutical pellet is disclosed, comprising a spherical core containing active ingredient with a smooth surface and a coating on the core which controls the release of the active ingredient in a pH-independent manner. With such a pellet the release of the active ingredient can follow a profile with a lag phase of 60 minutes to 840 minutes, a proportion of 5 wt. % or less of the active ingredient being released during the lag phase. The active ingredient can furthermore be released from the pellet with a profile such that after the lag phase the release of the active ingredient amounts to between 3 and 25 wt. % per hour.

Abstract: An oven for bonding adhesives to the back surface of a textile article includes a housing with a transport frame for passing the textile article through a curing chamber within the housing. The oven also has an air source and a duct system that delivers an airflow into a cool zone on the opposite, pile surface side of the textile article. The airflow has a lower temperature than the elevated temperature of the curing chamber and is supplied to the cool zone in sufficient amounts such that the pressure in the cool zone exceeds the ambient pressure in the curing chamber.
Abstract: Phosphate esters useful for gelling hydrocarbons in combination with a metal source are disclosed along with methods of preparation of the phosphate esters. Fouling in oil refinery towers has been attributed due to distillation of impurities present in phosphate esters used to gel hydrocarbons for oil well fracturing. The improved method of preparation of the phosphate ester results in a product that substantially reduces or eliminates volatile phosphorus, which is phosphorus impurities that distill up to 250° C., and increases the high temperature viscosity of the hydrocarbon gels formed using the phosphate esters.
Abstract: Gelled liquid hydrocarbons and methods for gelling hydrocarbons and treating subterranean wellbores employ a phosphorus compound of the formula: wherein, X is a straight chained alkyl or alkoxy group having 5 to 18 carbon atoms in combination with a polyvalent metal source.
Abstract: A tablet, containing an inner phase, comprising a) a first type of pellets (I) which contain a first active ingredient and which have a coating and/or release the active ingredient in a modified manner, or b) a first type of coated first active ingredient (I), mixed with c) spherical particles (II), and an outer phase containing one or more excipients present in non-granulated form before tableting, selected from disintegrants, lubricants, flow regulators, fillers and binders, wherein the weight of the outer phase makes up not more than 25 percent of the total weight of the tablet.

Abstract: An insulated injection molding cavity assembly for molding a thin or low flow material golf ball cover or mantle layer, comprises a cavity for defining a golf ball layer, the golf ball layer comprising a thickness that corresponds to a space defined by the cavity; a metal surface layer surrounding the cavity, and an insulating layer surrounding the metal surface layer. The metal surface layer thickness is decreased and the insulating layer thickness is increased with decreasing golf ball layer thickness.
Abstract: Luminescent ink formulations containing multiple salts selected for good ionic mobility, thermal stability, compatibility with light emitting polymers, good solubility in ink solvents, and electrochemical stability improve the performance of electroluminescent ink. As one salt may not contain all the required properties, a combination of salts is chosen based on the physical and chemical properties of different salts. When multiple salts are incorporated into a light emitting polymer layer, devices show improved lifetime and overall device performance.

Abstract: Disclosed is a cooling apparatus for a semiconductor component having a coolant inlet flow path on a coolant flow path connecting a coolant inlet and a coolant outlet, the coolant inlet flow path having a diffuser shape, in which its cross-sectional area increases from a coolant inlet to a portion where cooling fins start to appear. In the cooling apparatus, the coolant inlet flow path meets the following equation: ?=D{3/2+sin(?(x?A))}. Here, ? is the radius of the diffuser, D is the diameter of the coolant inlet, x is a distance from the coolant inlet toward the cooling fins, ? is an expansion slope coefficient of the diffuser in radians, and the sine of (?·A) is 1. In the cooling apparatus for a compact and integrated semiconductor component, since the diffuser-shaped coolant inlet flow path extending from the coolant inlet to the cooling fins is designed in an optimal shape, it is possible to improve cooling efficiency and to reduce flow resistance to coolant flow.
Abstract: Electronic devices, such as photovoltaic, transistor or doped light-emitting devices, can be manufactured with an air-based manufacturing process and device structure that encapsulates the device with air-stable electrodes and active layers that are reasonably stable in their unexcited state. A sheet of flexible material may act as a substrate and a second sheet of material acts as a cover. Getter materials are included in the encapsulated device, with the getter latent or unreactive during the manufacturing process.
