Upon receiving a query related to a content item, a type of response is first determined. Based on the type of response, and using the dialogue metadata, a portion of dialogue is identified for insertion into the response. The identified portion of dialogue is retrieved and inserted at an appropriate position within the response. The response is then generated for output.

A database may be queried to determine use frequencies of the first and second phonetic representations, one of which may be selected based on a comparison of the use frequencies. A phonetic search index may be modified by including an entry for the selected phonetic representation. A voice query related to the media item may be received, and a reply to the voice query may be generated for output by performing a lookup in the modified phonetic search index.

The control circuitry may then monitor a transmission from the node by transmitting a request, to the node, to generate a second fingerprint at a predetermined transmission time, the predetermined transmission time being a second transmission time of a second video frame to the node adjusted based on the time offset. In some embodiments, the control circuitry may also generate alerts based on determining that a node failed to properly retransmit content.

Notifications and summary of the activities in the first app are provided to the user while they are actively present in the second app. Instead of rendering the first app, back-end simulations of the activities in the first app are processed and made available when rendering is resumed.
