  • Patent number: 9488201
Abstract: A process of forming a cushioned clamp in accordance with aspects of the present disclosure includes configuring a single-ply of woven fiberglass into a longitudinal tube to form a single-ply fiberglass sleeving, coating the single-ply fiberglass sleeving with an aluminum paint, subjecting the coated single-ply fiberglass sleeving to a warming medium, while pliable due to the warming medium, cutting the sleeving into discreet, individual pieces configured for forming a sleeve, folding a first cut end in on itself and pulling the first cut end toward a center of the sleeve to form a first rolled end, and folding a second cut end in on itself and pulling the second cut end toward a center of the sleeve to form a second rolled end, and slidably mounting the sleeve onto a bare metal clamp to form the cushioned clamp.

  • Patent number: 9458006
Abstract: A non-pressurized fluid level shutoff system for a fuel tank includes a fuel receiver having a flow control valve that opens in a direction opposite a direction of fuel flow, and that cannot be manually overridden. A fuel sensor funnels fuel through a fuel jet outlet orifice to form a stream of fuel across a cutout section, and a supplemental peripheral port connected between an outlet orifice mixing chamber and the interior of the tank is oriented perpendicular to the stream of fuel across the cutout section, to interfere with the stream of fuel when the sensor is submerged in fuel in the tank, to further reduce any residual fluid flow signal when the sensor is fully submerged, allowing the flow control valve in the receiver to close completely.

  • Patent number: 7757709
Abstract: The integrated jet fluid level shutoff sensor vent assembly is designed for use in conjunction with a non-pressurizing tank fast fill system, and to support automatic shutoff fast fill refueling of vehicles. The integrated jet fluid level shutoff sensor vent assembly is mounted to a fuel tank and exposed inside the fuel tank for sensing a predetermined level of fuel within the fuel tank and allowing fully vented refueling.

  • Patent number: 7467649
Abstract: A refueling receiver includes an inlet configured to receive a nozzle. A control valve piston is connected to the inlet to allow flow from the inlet to the control valve piston. The control valve piston has an inlet side and an outlet side. An outlet is provided having an outlet fitting and a return fitting. The outlet fitting is connected to the inlet to allow flow from the inlet to the outlet fitting. A sensor is provided having an input connected to the outlet fitting, and an output connected to the return fitting to allow flow from the outlet fitting to said return fitting through the sensor. A pilot valve is in communication with the return fitting to control a pressure differential between the inlet side and the outlet side to move said control valve piston into a first position to allow flow out of the receiver, and a second position to prevent flow from leaving the receiver.

  • Patent number: 6971682
Abstract: A coupling assembly for fuel transfer includes a first inner conduit attached to a first ferrule adapter and a second inner conduit attached to a second ferrule adapter. An inner conduit coupling engages the first inner conduit sealing mechanism and the second inner conduit sealing mechanism, thereby connecting the first inner conduit to the second inner conduit. A first outer conduit surrounds the first inner conduit. The first outer conduit is attached to the first ferrule adapter and the second outer conduit is attached to the second ferrule adapter. An outer conduit coupling engages the first and second outer conduit sealing mechanism thereby connecting the first outer conduit to the second outer conduit.

  • Patent number: 6837262
Abstract: A refueling system for vehicles including a dual valve receiver connected in fluid communication with the fuel tank, and a jet sensor inside of the fuel tank and in fluid communication with the receiver. The refueling system further includes a relief valve vent in fluid communication with the fuel tank to vent the fuel tank and to relieve pressure that may otherwise build up inside the fuel tank during refueling. When refueling with an automatic shutoff nozzle, the sensor detects when a desired fuel level has been reached, and then informs the receiver to prevent fuel flow into the tank. When this occurs, the pressure inside the receiver and automatic shutoff nozzle increases, causing the nozzle to shut off automatically.
