  • Patent number: 11684940
Abstract: The invention solves the problem of protecting aircraft components during finishing. Such components are large and require masking films of vast dimensions which are difficult to handle and position rapidly. The invention relates to films packaged to facilitate transport, and to a method of positioning the packaged films on the corresponding components. The longitudinal and/or transverse portions of the films are packaged by means of at least one opération chosen from among: accordion folding, telescopic folding, gâte folding, roll folding, winding around a mandrel, and winding on itself. The packaged films can have positioning markers on at least one surface and/or tear lines suitable for detaching the portions of film to be separated. The invention also concerns a kit comprising a film and a guide element for guiding the positioning of the film on the component.

  • Patent number: 11279115
Abstract: A disclosed method for manufacturing a floor covering includes the steps of vulcanising a support layer made of an elastomer and assembling an intermediate layer to the support layer during the step of vulcanising, wherein the intermediate layer is made of a material selected from the group that includes polyester, polyetheretherketone, polyetherimide, polysulfone, polyimide, polyamide, fluoropolymer, polyurethane, and paper. A print layer is printed either the intermediate layer or a transparent protective layer. When the print layer is printed on the intermediate layer, the protective layer is assembled to the print layer of a set that includes the print layer, the intermediate layer, and the support layer. When the print layer is printed on the protective layer, the print layer of a set that includes the print layer and the protective layer is assembled to the intermediate layer of a set that includes the intermediate layer and the support layer.

  • Patent number: 11123962
Abstract: A multilayer thermoformable film to protect the surface of a workpiece includes an underlayer having first and second faces. The underlayer is made from an adhesive material configured to adhere to the surface of the workpiece by the first face. At least one layer of polymer material is attached to the second face of the adhesive underlayer. The layer of polymer material is resistant to erosion by solid particles and to erosion by liquid particles. It is formed from a polymer material chosen from a polyurethane, a polyether ether ketone and a polyethylene having a very high molecular weight, with a Shore D hardness of between 50 and 65 D. A method of surface protection of the workpiece includes thermoforming the film in a shape adapted to match the shape of at least a portion of the workpiece and applying the film thermoformed onto the surface of the workpiece.
