Abstract: The present invention generally relates to soles in particular midsoles for sports shoes. According to an aspect, an additively manufactured sole is provided. The sole comprises a lattice structure, the lattice structure comprising a plurality of cell elements. The sole further comprises a heel element, three-dimensionally encompassing the heel. Moreover, the sole comprises a base portion interconnecting the heel element and the lattice structure, wherein the base portion has an extension arranged to connect to a plurality of adjacent cell elements, wherein the plurality of adjacent cell elements is not positioned along an edge of the lattice structure.

Abstract: A messaging apparatus for wearable items. The messaging apparatus may comprise a light source, at least one sensor to detect an event, and a controller to control the flashing of the light source in response to the detection of the event. The controlling of the flashing of the light source may generate at least one visible element that is visible to a viewer. Further, the light source may not be adapted in the form of the at least one visible element, but rather, the controlled flashing of the light source may be in the form of the at least one visible element.

Abstract: An upper for a sports shoe may include a component such as a vamp or a rear portion. The shoe component may include a UV curable microlattice structure with a plurality of regions such that each region has a different density. In some cases, the microlattice structure may include a high density microlattice structure, a mid-level density microlattice structure, and a non-structural region with a low density microlattice structure.
Abstract: Described are soccer shoes having an upper formed of knitwear, and a sole having cleats that are connected to the knitwear, wherein the knitwear is capable of coupling the sole to a foot of a wearer of the soccer shoe while the soccer shoe is being worn.

Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods can be used including receiving motion data, categorizing the motion data into portions of a minute that indicate activity or a workout, and automatically determining an accurate number of active minutes for an individual. Multiple data streams may be analyzed and de-duplicated, such that an accurate metric may be computed and reported to an individual.
Abstract: A method for the manufacture of a sporting goods component including the steps of: selecting a first textile, wherein the first textile has a first shrinkage ratio under a predetermined shrinking condition; forming a first portion of the component using the first textile; selecting a second textile, wherein the second textile has a second shrinkage ratio under the predetermined shrinking condition, wherein the second shrinkage ratio is higher than the first shrinkage ratio; forming a second portion of the component using the second textile; and attaching the first textile and the second textile together.
Abstract: Athletic activity monitoring methods and systems are disclosed. In one embodiment, a sensor module is physically coupled to an object during an athletic activity conducted by a user. An athletic activity monitoring method for use with the sensor module includes detecting movement of the object; determining an initial spatial orientation of the object; and determining a change in the spatial orientation of the object. The method further includes wirelessly transmitting data relating to the change in spatial orientation to a computer, where the computer is remotely located from the user during the athletic activity; wirelessly receiving activity metric data from the remote computer, where the activity metric data is based on the transmitted data relating to the change in spatial orientation; and providing an output to the user that conveys an activity metric.
