Abstract: A housing for a medical device, comprising at least one touch-sensitive display unit or a support for a touch-sensitive display unit, wherein the housing comprises at least a first housing part and a second housing part, which can be detachably connected to the first housing part, the first housing part having first connecting members and the second housing part having second connecting members which cooperate with these first connecting members, the first and second connecting members configured to fasten the second housing part to the first housing part by an interlocking connection, wherein securing members are configured to secure the fastening of the second housing part to the first housing part and include a magnetic or magnetizable element configured to cooperate with a magnetic detaching device such that the securing members can be moved from a securing position to a detaching position by the magnetic field.
