  • Patent number: 7352749
Abstract: A device for checking numbers consists of a multiplexer (101) with a controller module (106) linked to it. An output of the multiplexer is connected to a first input of a register (102), which is an element of memory, while a first output of the controller module (106) is connected to an input of a storage (103) and a second input of the register (102). An output of the register (102) and an output of the storage (103) are connected to inputs of the adder (104), which adds on its output a number, stored in the register (102) and a number written in the storage (103) at an address indicated by the controller module (106). The adder (104) generates on its output a carry-out signal, informing about overflow, which is passed to a first controlling input of the controller module (106), which manages operation of the device checking numbers.

  • Patent number: 7164448
Abstract: A method for scrolling MPEG-compressed pictures consists in decoding a sequence of pictures (34, 35, 36) or any two pictures to be viewed by a MPEG decoder (5) and storing the sequence of pictures (35, 35, 36) or any two pictures in MPEG decoder memory. Then the sequence of pictures (34, 35, 36) or any two pictures is formed as a group of pictures (37), which is transferred to the first screen buffer (24) which is active. In the following step, any another compressed picture, after decoding in the MPEG decoder (5), is stored in a MPEG decoder memory as a decoder new picture and then is transferred from the MPEG decoder memory to the first screen buffer (24), where its edge line perpendicular to the intended scrolling direction is adjoined to the external edge of the group of pictures (37).

  • Publication number: 20040163112
Abstract: A data signal receiver has a processor and interfaces, RAM, ROM, NV-RAM and non-volatile memory linked to the processor. A decompressing program of a loader and the loader in a compressed form is stored in the non-volatile memory and after being decompressed, by the decompressing program, the loader is stored in a section of the RAM memory, the section being declared as ROM memory. The loader is a program receiving a data signal receiver's code from external sources and exchanges it in the data signal receiver, storing it in the data signal receiver's non-volatile type memory. The loader does not reproduce audio or video signals, but is able to communicate with a user by displaying information on the screen, in order to show a state of current updating of the data signal receiver's software code.

  • Publication number: 20040148631
Abstract: A method of automatic control of a digital television decoder operation uses an Electronic Program Guide system. When a program, from a control list created earlier by a user by selecting specific programs, starts, a decoder changes its operation mode from a sleep mode to an active mode. In the active mode the user can watch only the programs located on the list, and after the program from the list ends, and in case there are no other available programs on the list, the decoder changes its operation mode to the sleep mode. At each time when a new program from the list starts, the decoder generates an information signal. In the described solution there are available many lists controlling the operation of the decoder. The lists are created by the user or set by an operator, and the user chooses which of the lists should control the operation of the decoder.

  • Publication number: 20040047374
Abstract: Dataflow inside the system is based on requests for packets send from an E superior system element (120). A packet appearing at one of the inputs of the first or second multiplexers (105, 109) is sent to its output. In case there is no packet at a given input, information about the lack of a packet is sent instead. The reading of the packet from one of the inputs and sending it to the output is activated by a packet request command, sent to modules (110, 111, 112, 113, 114, 115, 116, 117) connected to the given input. The requested packet, or information of its lack, is then awaited. Subsequently, a search for packets is conducted at the TV1, TV3 live signal inputs (101, 106), beginning with the input defined as the first in line. If no packet is found at the highest priority input, the search moves on to subsequent live signal inputs. If no packets are available at these inputs, the TV2 bitrate input (102) is checked, bypassing inputs with a coefficient of sending greater or equal to one.
